Good evening, I can't find my state of origin certificate, however, I do have the soft copy. Will that be accepted at the Alausa immigration office?

I was at Ibadan immigration office today for my port renewal, I was hoping that I will prove you wrong thinking that they will adjust and work with Hon Minister vision but believe me it worst that what anyone can imagine, their level of Extortion and black market registration is incomparable, I got there 9am this morning with all my document ready, they keep bringing in new file of those they have collect extra 20k and put our own file aside I eventually capture by 3:30pm. Hon. Minister should please look in the high level of Extortion in ibadan immigration office which cut across the rank and files.
While other immigration offices has improve in their service deliver for DIY, Ibadan immigration office has choose to thick with the old ways of frustration and Extortion of applicants.

I wish they change for better

port collection is another thing because they will intentionally refuse to release port of applicants who failed to wet their palms. someone I know applied for port there and went there everyday for straight 2 weeks still they were claiming that they don't see the port whereas I interviewed someone who confessed to me she paid 90k for 32pages and collected her port right in my presence in less than 2 weeks she applied although she confessed to me that the money paid really pained her but because she really need it asap

Print out the soft copy to hard copy and take it along to you

They will not accept soft copy because the hard copy needs to be attached to your other application documents

What documents do I need to go with when going for capturing? Do I need a guarantor, birth certificate & state of origin?

I also applied for my baby and we will both capture on the same day. What documents do I need for my baby? Does he needs a guarantor too?

No, Alausa port Office will not accept the soft copy.
A hard copy (original and photocopy) of state of origin certificate is required for sighting and filing on the day of appointment.

Depends on the age, 6 yrs old and above has to collect by themselves since they signed and did fingerprints too

I believe this should be so at Alausa, when I collected mine I was told not to bother thumbprinting as they'd already activated it.

For the first time, I'll actually confirmed that something a sitting minister in Nigeria announced is working

My port is ready today and I captured on the 27th of October, Friday. Less than 3 weeks and exactly 13 working days since I captured.

To say I was surprised is the least of it. I was just wondering what happened, I didn't pay for any fast track, although I was asked if I wanted to fast track it but because I need it early next year, I said no.

Now it's out.. now I believe Nigeria can really work if we want it to.

Got a message that it's ready today, 15th, November. Everything took less than 2 months

Congratulations on your port. Truly...Nigeria can really work if those in power want it to work.
To me, it is only the Minister of Interior that is really working in Nigeria as I type.

Anyways, I plan on doing my port this month by God's grace.

Its my first time. I'm based in Lagos and It is going to be DIY.

(5) Copy of the data page and last page of expired port.

Please I just track my application, only for me to see enrollment page to the last page saying pending. Meanwhile after my capturing on Nov 8, it was all ticked except for the last page.

If your kids are/above 6yrs old, you will take them to sign for their port collection.

No, a minor does not need a state of origin certificate/local government certificate. But a letter of consent from the parents of the minor is required.

And secondly when i was filing the online application, i saw space for just maiden's name and i filled in my other name ''Deborah'' i did not add my surname. And this Deborah is not on my documents. After i finished the application and ed the form, it turned out showing Mother maiden's name. And Deborah is not my mother maiden's name its my fourth name.

Will there be issues on the day of capturing? Or can it be corrected in cybercafe?
