No employer would be stupid enough to house a good number of destructive, disgruntled and insurbodinate employees all at once. The assurances that was given by Microsoft to employ the all is a facade and it is not enforceable in court. It is deception in disguise. They are only doing that to kill their competitors business.

That's the disadvantages of going public i.e being a publicly traded company, a mistake I don't intend to make in my life, a mistake Lucious Lyon made and regretted.
A company I founded and built with sweat, some lowlifers would now come in the name of shareholders/stockholders to now come and start dictating to me how to run my own company.

That's the resulting of having investors in your business. You become answerable to them. If you want investors' capital, you must do what they want. If not, don't accept investors' capital.

I would disagree, the workers are the ones doing the work and understand their work (at least in this field) the most, and should always have a say in the direction of their work.

In this case I doubt the investors are qualified or have the understanding necessary to be making these decisions, they just probably care about their investment and profit, that's all.
To which I say, they chose to take a risk by investing here, and they have every right to withdraw their investment if they want to do so.

Why not? Didn't Microsoft absorb all of Github employees? LinkedIn employees? These are largely engineers not recruiters or sales people. They are hotcakes. AI and machine learning specialists get up to a million dollars as compensation packages in the US. Let alone those from the pioneer firm. OPENai is like Google in its heydays. Anyone who worked there CAN NEVER be unemployed for two months!

You are thinking.....veiled empty threat. You can't threaten the Board of Directors like that when you are not even the regulator. Some people are not moved by threats. Rather, they are made stronger from threats. The 550 staff cannot resign enmass. If they see through this their threats, they will be replaced immediately......there are hundreds of AI scientists in India, US and around the globe waiting to fill in the space

While that is true, these people constitute a major building block in the company. They are not just AI scientists, but scientists who worked with the pioneer firms. They know their value. They can't be easily replaced. Rather, they will never face difficulties getting another role.

Every major corporation that has a significant technology division will be itching to lay hands on some of them. Ultimately, they can leave, but if more than 70% do leave, it leaves a big chasm for OPENai.

Then secure capital, network expertise and knowledge from the banks. Or play the long game like Cargill and become private for eternity. Don't sell a share to outside investors, even if na private equity investors. Those ones are even brutal in their approach.
