Let me use God's name as politicians usually use it. God had given us many chances to get it right. From the death of Abacha leading to return of democracy, Emergence of APC leading to the sacking of PDP from Presidency to Emergence of LP as a youth approved alternative to APC. We missed the opportunity to change our leaders like handbag till we get the right one because of obvious reasons. Thus we will continue to suffer till we eventually get sense.

Nigeria's 'middle classes' are the problem. Or should I say the enlightened/educated 'upper' and 'mid' lower class, since there's hardly any real middle class left in Tinubu's Nigeria.

The illiterate poor masses are too suppressed and clueless to know how to liberate themselves, so they're insignificant.

The real problem is the lazy, cowardly and eternally stupid 'upper' and 'mid' lower class Nigerians who have the numbers and the capacity to take their fate in their hands, but choose to remain stupid. All the okada/keke riders, jobless graduates, poorly remunerated causal workers/ factory workers, secondary school drop outs wasting away in Bet9ja shops nationwide, etc, etc.. These are in their millions, and they can mostly read, write, understand the basic issues, and can be effectively mobilized behind The Great Cause.

Until when this category of Nigerians are ready, then the suffering and smiling would continue.

We've been hopeful and praying for Nigeria to be better, year after year, president after president, there seems to be no hope in sight, every new government multiplies the suffering. Buhari wasted 8 years of the lives of the Nigerian people and it appears the present government is going to multiply the efforts of his predecessor to increase the hardship and suffering of the Nigerian people.

Can Nigerians rise up and come up with a strategy to take back their country? Let the present generation start the movement to save the future of the Next generation and the lives of Nigerians yet unborn.

Stop waiting for who will bell the cat.

No, Nigerians cannot come together. Yes, revolution is coming but won't take Nigerians coming together. Fear trumps trust anytime; it would be a mutually assured destruction when collective hardship reaches 'ground zero'.

The greatest undoing of this government is it's neglect of the fact that we're coming from what can be adjudged to be the most disastrous 8 years of our democratic history. Even his bigoted ers soon will lose their voice. We can only hope PBAT comes off his high horse and work for the masses.

LP may have lost the election, but you are rich enough to bear APC's own economic losses, so complainer's shouldn't bother with your kind

There's no one anti-nigerian more than d average' 'obidient'.
Any where u hear them use the term 'nigeria', know for sure that they are referring to themselves ('obidients') alone!

Take it back from who and give it to who exactly.

Go to any international airport, go to any police checkpoint, do a contract at local government, state or federal level and try and collect your money at the appropriate ministry.

Those are the every day people that you want to give Nigeria back to àbi?

The lesser problem is the government, it's the people themselves that need reorientationthat are the main issue.

The citizens are actually the lesser problem why?
An average Nigerian Is law abiding, but will choose to be a deviant if he knows he can possibly evade possible fines and penalties.Let me tell you this,if you fine a Nigerian heavily for commiting an offence,he will be wary not to commit the similar offence in subsequent time.
If the Nigerian Government can serve as good example and be worthy of been emulated, they can put in good laws and guidelines which the citizens will adhere to.

I can maybe see your point of view but if for example LASTMA catches someone driving down a one way street, guess who will initiate the process of bribery more often than not?

If you are in a position of authority and refuse to take a bribe, your subordinates will curse you, the people wanting to take advantage of established fair processes will abuse you. They will all label you "too know" amongst other things, even you boss will start looking to remove you.

We the people are the problem, we make it difficult for good governance.

Only you and your likes rate the last 8-years as disastrous. Many Nigerians see it as a very trying period all over the world but Nigeria is among the countries coming out if it little by little.

If you like, be there playing

I actually agree to views to a good extent but we can't rid the anomalies overnight. It's a deliberate process which should commence with the government signalling a strong resolve to rid the anomalies.
Based on the example you cited, if LASTMA catches a deviant who break trafficking law and had to pay a bribe /fine to avoid been arrested, such a driver will never break that law in again unless insanity sets in.
When there are no law breakers, corrupt law enforcement agents would have nothing to feast on,gradually they also adapt to the new norm. Even in saner climes there are corrupt law enforcement agents but people hardly fall into their trap because every one is privy and accustom to various law and know the consequences of breaking such laws.

If Peter Obi had won he would be fighting corruption, not aiding it. He would be fixing the economy, not making it worse.

Clearly Lagosian are all insane.

During Idiagbon's War Against Indiscipline (WAI) program, every single day people were made to kneel down or do frog jumps in Oshodi for crossing the expressway directly instead of using the footbridge above where they crossed.

In fact, while some people were currently doing their own frog jumps, you will still see other people rushing across and being chased by Police.

How about the bridge at 5 Star, on Aswani market Tuesdays then, the people will still sell their wares on the footbridge thereby hampering pedestrian traffic, police will come and chase them, they will run. As soon as police leaves, they will be back, rinse and repeat.

Guess who's side normal people were on in this never ending battle, not the authorities trying to instill common sense in people.

These are the ones you expect to hand over power to àbi? We the people lack sense and I include myself in that because I also chanced my arm then and got away with it too smiley

Oga, pls stop wasting your time over Nigerians.. They like suffering and they prefer it that way as long as thier Tribe men is in govt. Nigerians love thier oppressors and fight others when they criticize thier beloved tribe man in govt .. The Hausa's did it during Buhari's regime , now the Yorubas have taken over the Barton of fighting who ever dare criticized thier beloved Tinubu despite his harsh policies that has made life really tough for poor Nigerians. Pls leave them alone , this govt is favouring them and thier family
