Japanese Visa And Travelling To Japan (176146 Views)

Kingchineme6:How did your friend enter Japan? From what I have gathered here, Japan apart from a tourist, is not a place you can go without necessary papers. COE is quite important if you want to travel to Japan, be it for work, or for school. You need to have the right documents if you really want to go to Japan and live comfortably and fine. 3 Likes |

superdee01: Honestly, I don't know why many Nigerians who intend to japa are ignorant of the basic requirements of the intending country, are too lazy to do basic research and, most obviously, like to cut corners. Japan is not a country to cut corners to enter. It is basically an island nation, and laws have been tightened to fast track the deportation of people who overstay their visas and asylum is rarely granted, no matter how long the person stays, appeals the case or speaks Japanese. These are not Westerners who one can use slavery or colonialism to guilt trip. They follow the law as stated. Kingchineme6, getting a visa to Indonesia from Nigeria is an onerous process. You will need to get some documents from NDLEA. Getting a visa to Japan from Indonesia is only possible when you have a resident visa in Indonesia. A tourist visa does not count. Google what a resident visa means in Indonesia. Ultimately, to enter Japan and live as a resident, you need the COE, without which life will be terribly miserable. Most importantly, do your basic research. This thread has enough tips and points. Read from the beginning. You will see where I made earlier comments. I read the thread from the beginning till when I left Nigeria. I did the same for other countries' threads when I wanted to japa. I read EVERYTHING and used Google - WHICH IS FREE! 5 Likes |

Kingchineme6: Was your friend granted asylum? If yes, good luck. If not, it will be tough to be granted asylum these days as the laws regarding asylum have been tightened. Obviously, due to trade relations and propinquity, it will be easier for Indonesians to move to Japan. The issue now is getting a visa to Indonesia from Nigeria, which is another difficult thing. They (Indonesians) even get to benefit from a special semi-skilled migration scheme. However, for someone in the asylum system, getting permanent residency will be very hard, even if the person marries a Japanese national. The children will be citizens from the mother's side, as most asylum seekers who marry Japanese nationals are foreign men. I know all hands are not equal, but there is a reason these countries have tough laws. Apart from Mali, Nigeria is the only country in West Africa which does not enjoy visa free status to Singapore, due to drug trafficking. Also, to live a stress-free and at least an OK life in Japan, one needs to enter the country through the right routes; work or study. I state this because, by 2025 when the World EXPO will be held in Osaka, we will have posters come to ask whether a visit visa can be converted to a resident visa 5 Likes |

Thank you for the information. I hold a master's degree from a university in South Korea and I visited Fukuoka two months ago. Currently, I am still in Korea and intend to explore the website that Alakara mentioned in my previous quote.

martins2021: If you are still in South Korea, message recruiting agencies in Tokyo to avail you of the employment opportunities in the industry. A major restraint is employing people from outside Japan who have less number of working experience, but by being in nearby South Korea, it should be easy to convince firms to process your COE. You really don't need to go through the English teaching route except the above suggestion did not work. That is, firms are hesitant to employing or interviewing you because of your location, which I seriously doubt. The major hurdle should be the language not the distance. 2 Likes |

Kingchineme6: This in itself is incredible. So your friend flew 8,364 miles from Nigeria to Japan, just to seek Asylum? |
Kingchineme6(m): 2:05am On Oct 18, 2023 |
moonraker:That's what he told me bro, that's why I wanted to whether is possible because he was telling me to use the same route.... |
moonraker(m): 4:00am On Oct 18, 2023 |
Kingchineme6: I mean, I don't doubt that he told you that. Just hard to believe. Your friend would only be able to pull this off like 10 years ago. not now. So his asylum plan costs him minimum, 1.6 million. Again, incredible. I would advise against that. Go the school or English teaching route. 3 Likes |

Hello guys.. Can someone with an HND plus one year NYSC teaching experience gets teaching job in Japan? Tge person is currently studying for the 120 hours TEFL certificate. |
Gerrard59(m): 5:31pm On Oct 20, 2023 |
ananne: No. The minimum requirement for issuance of a work visa, which teaching English is, is a bachelor's degree or the equivalent of ten years of cognate experience in the field. Without any, a COE cannot be issued, and thus, no visa. 3 Likes |

What is the requirements to get a work visa for a pharmacist in Japan? Just wanted to ask. |
Gerrard59(m): 7:29am On Oct 21, 2023 |
Candid: It will be very hard to sponsor someone from Africa to work as a pharmacist in Japan. The field is a regulated one in most places across the world. Mind you, the health care field is one that is very Japanese-centric, so employing a black person, no matter how fluent, to attend to patients go get as e be. That said, without an N1 - which does not count as native fluency - it is mission impossicant. 2 Likes |

Candid: No idea about Russia, but what I stated is the bare minimum for a foreigner to be employed as a pharmacist in Japan. I hope you know that medical programs are regulated according to national laws worldwide. LadyGBU: Before Covid, it was N23, 000. As of 2022, it was N30, 700. Use your intuition to know how much it should cost now. Preferably, Google DHL in your state and give them a call. For MEXT postgraduate, I do hope your BSc grade was at least a strong 2.1 (4.0/5) for you to stand a chance? P.S. NEVER USE NIPOST 1 Like |

Gerrard59: But wait! I don't have to work in an hospital na. Ain't there pharmaceutical company someone can work in? Just thinking |
Gerrard59(m): 1:07am On Oct 24, 2023 |
Candid: A lot, but what is the incentive to employ a foreigner who does not speak Japanese when there are numerous foreigners inside the country who studied at Japanese universities and speak conversational Japanese? If you want to work in the pharmaceutical industry, I strongly advise you to apply to universities to do a graduate program. You get in line for the standard recruitment process and learn Japanese during this period. While outside, your surest route is to transfer from a branch office to the Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto branch of a global pharma company OR be highly skilled such that companies go all the way to applying for a work visa on your behalf even if you don't speak the language. |

superdee01:She just got a mail saying that all the mandatory visa documents checklist submitted are not verifiable and unreliable ( this includes yellow fever card, proof of AXA Mansard insurance cover certificate, covid-19 vaccination certificate, Academic transcripts, proof of funds from 2 banks, police clearance certificate and medical certificate of fitness) and that she should submit the reliable ones and then specifically, she should send a month POF bank statement. Please what's going on? I don't know what they mean by documents unverifiable and unreliable. Any idea on what to do please? |
