If you see that dxy is bearish, and your bias on eurusd is bearish...believe me, you will still find a reason to take a bearish trade on eurusd

If correlation sure like that, na to take loan of 10 million or more, trade am with full lot size for one week...

Anyway, try this on a demo acct....

Look at correlation and watch your trade decisions over a week or two. I can bet that you wouldn't make more money than your normal trading style...you'll probably lose more or cut trades prematurely.

What made me asked this question was that i really affirm the fact peteregwu is a nice swing trader.When i was reading through his posts and the hundreds of pips of profits he get from his trade,i was really really amazed.This guy's winning system really motivated me to
go for swing trading as it will help me balance my school work with my trading actvities too.
What i notice is that peteregwu trade many pairs.it seems like he analyse every pair and check whether his edge is present but Gabsonfx2 doesn't trade many instrument.He mostly trade US30,Oil, gold and recently GA .
It seems like he mastered their movement rather than looking out for a particular edge in them.
That was what's making me contemplate wether as to follow peteregwu's style or Gabsonfx2's style.But i think i'll try out trading as many as 10 and eventually reduce it overtime just like you said.i'll check what will work out for me.

Just like you said in your last statement. "I will check what will work out for me". In fact that is the best way to find out where you fit in. But always be patient and don't rush, take your time. You will definitely find your edge.

Good evening brothers, I'm here again with my weekly trade assessment. Couldn't post this weekend due to nairaland antispam bot banning me since last week.

Two weeks ago was something else for me, but last week was even crazier. Had a massive 1.5%DD for last week.
My first major problem is this competition of a thing, I believed[what arrogance from an inexperienced rookie] I'm better than languishing below top10, so this consequently made me over trade, and even started finding another setup to work with when my main setup wasn't providing opportunity for me.

I was losing less though compared to my winnings, but my psych couldn't handle so much losses, I was used to having about 70% winning rate when I really calm down to trade my way. But it has reduced to 50%, and it has also affected my confidence which now makes me close trades earlier than usual once they start going against me. Closed 3trades[one in a loss and two with meagre winnings] today that should be running in profit if I had left them due to what those last week losses did to me.

Another mistake which is due to same over trading, I tried trading indices, Nas100 in particular. With the way that nigg.a been moving mad, I can only trade it successfully profitably without stoploss because I couldn't even make a guess of what that ni.gga would do or not do. Made some dough, but it's not a responsible way to trade[trading without SL].

Now, I'm back to the drawing board fully and this week is the week where I only trade my plan and plan my trade according to me and not because of the ongoing competition or where I ranked whatsoever.

I had about 40orders alone in the space of two weeks. That was outrageous. If I had only followed my plan judiciously, following just three trades I was able to squeeze out that came really close to my pattern would have given me 5% easily. But I traded 40 due to lack of discipline with so many mood swings and failures that messed up my psyche up.

I've gone back to the drawing board now, just these two trades will be followed till they hit SL or TP no matter what happens.

The lot rule/max positions was the reason I stayed out of the comp, I'm used to variable lot size
