Good day gurus in the house. I was at Festac office today to do my capturing and after the whole running round I was told that I should do another fresh registration that my first name came before my surname. How do I correct this? That is making my surname comes before my first name.

I’d be capturing in a few days time i hope i won’t have the same issue as on my application slip and payment my first name came first but on the appointment slip my surname came first

Have you spoken or met with the PCO of Festac port Office about your sad situation?
I think AA means approved for production.

It will take an act of God for you to be allowed to see the PCO. I have been there severally and on each occasion I was directed to meet PRO or SA to PCO or the Second-in-Command.

However, I will be there again this week and hope I am lucky this time. I have even tweeted the interior minister, immigration service and servicom on this matter and none seem to be responding.

I think this is a certified institutional corruption and every party is involved in it hence the lackadaisical attitude of those who are suppose to checkmate this corruption. If the PCO is serious about his job he shouldn't be waiting for applicants to approach him before he acts on those DIY backlogs.

They are all in on this racket. The plan is to show kindness and effectiveness to a few people lucky to breach his firewall of aides whose duty is to frustrate you. That way word will go round that he is effective.

Those backlogged DIY files are in the servicom office and not planet Mars. If the PCO is honest he can order for the files to be attended to without the hassle of the applicants wasting time and resources trying to get an audience with him.

The best thing for us now is to make enough noise online especially on twitter and shame the PCO and the festac immigration office to the extent that the Minister of interior and the top brass of Immigration will notice and act accordingly.

I am a DIY applicant. What I saw yesterday at Festac office yesterday will never be forgotten in a hurry no matter what ooo. I think the level of corruption in Nigeria is a generational thing. Please and please pardon me for saying this.

It was all empty noise. The stats they reeled out that 59k ports were produced in two weeks seems to be false too.

Corruption is enshrined in NIS. They will only promise/tell the new minister what he wants to hear. Those NIS guys will still continue doing their shady jobs.
