Just yesterday, the wife of a friend of mine was kidnapped along with their driver, leaving their 3 children on the road unattended to. They were returning from their journey to the north and before they could get to Abuja, they were attacked and the driver alongside his wife were taken away leaving the car and kids on the highway. Probably they taught the driver was the husband. It was a good Samaritan that found them and called the police before the husband was ed. We are waiting for the kidnappers to the family as they are yet to hear from them. 5 Likes |

The security situation is becoming so bad now, and a responsible govt is supposed to tackle this issue first before any other thing. People are getting kidnapped daily and our security seems not to be proactive about it. If the securities can't go after the kidnappers, then govt should line up soldiers on all our roads to atleast stop the kidnappers from carrying out their act since they can't go after the criminals. Modified.... Just check out this link and see the type of country that we are leaving in https://nairaland.unblockandhide.com/2239266/battle-field-discussion-picture-video/2171#125850030 1 Like |

Why didn't they fly instead of driving on the road?

Must have been horrifying. At the end, the truth is, we have to do more than vote for the right party..we have to fight corruption, get more income to adequately find money for law enforcement, teach children to be good, find ways of attracting good foreign investment, working within the system, etc. Anyway , abroad isn't safe either. A few minutes on Investigation discovery and CBS justice will cure ya of that illusion 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Lots of people and students who have been kidnapped didn't make it back to their families. A lot have their daughters married away to bandits. Niger state govt has said times without number that some local govt are under bandits control.. Bauchi state govt have said same thing. Yet our security forces have not launched massive operation to recover those local govt. It's not as if those areas are border town with another country o.... But these are towns within the center of Nigeria, yet there is no operation to displace those bandits. 4 Likes |

nairalanda1: Nooo, why do we have to vote the right person when we can throw tribal tantrums from morning till night, and deny competent people their win because of where they come from. We shouldn't be complaining. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

Wodu89: The sooner you realise that this is NIGERIA!!! The beta for U. So with the bracelets, you believe the Nigerian Police will actually want to go the extra mile to track the GPS location and enta the kidnappers enclave to rescue a victim? 6 Likes |

It's very bad and too sad that people are dying daily, families are crying because their loved ones have been kidnapped and they have no resource to pay for ransom yet the only thing our youth does is to come online to and defend politicians who have failed in their primary duties.

successmatters: It's more than voting out APC that we got to do. High crime has been an issue even before 1999. We have changed to civilian and even changed party and government, nothing changes. At the end, we have to do more than just vote out APC 3 Likes |

Can someone tell me anyone who escaped kidnapping just because his kinsmen are in power or because he is from a certain tribe. Can you all show me anyone that the politicians from his tribe, religion or party affiliation came out and mobilised security just to rescue their person. Keep ing evil, it will get to everyone. Soon we will have no where to hide as the criminals would have over ran everywhere. 2 Likes |

Wodu89: I am a techie as well. The issue isn't about the gadget but about the poor security situation in the country. Even with live feeds do you think the Police would be proactive? Do you think these people having a field day kidnapping and making huge business out of it aren't working for some of the people in the forces ![]() 1 Like |
