time for fresh alignment & consolidation of power by the new regime. They will not allow their country to become Libya 2.0 Ebola & EC0WAS shld attack corruption & poverty in West Africa. It is a big shame that after two decades since the return of democracy nigeria does not have a working refinery. 47 Likes 1 Share |

If the people of Niger are Ok with the military they should leave them alone, for me the military government was better than the nonsense going on in Nigeria today that they call democracy....

United States should keep their dirty claws out of this matter. We have queued behind Russia because we are better off there.

Interesting times indeed. Do you see how our government rushed into this crisis unprepared, putting all its aces on the table, while leaving it no room for diplomatic manoeuvres? The only emissaries granted hearing by the Junta go there on their own accord, but anything through the official channel is ignored. Now compare that with the US who are just tenants that don't want to be kicked out of Niger are the ones now forming champions of diplomacy. Our new government's foreign policy has been measured, weighed and found wanting on the African and international stage. By the way has the US SD refered to the Niger "situation" as a coup yet? 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Lama70:Blimey, you lot are always moaning about the US and how they're mes your continent. You think they're behind every bad thing that happens, from wars to famines to diseases. You're always pointing the finger at them and saying they're the root of all evil. But if they kept their noses out of your business, you'd probably accuse them of having some sinister agenda or not caring about your plight. You can't have it both ways, mate. Instead of queuing behind other countries and begging for crumbs, why don't you try to stand on your own two feet and make something of yourselves? Why don't you let other countries queue behind you for a change and show them what you're made of? And while you're at it, why don't you sort out your own problems and deal with the corruption and greediness that's rife among your leaders? Stop crying about the US all the time and take some responsibility for your own actions. Maybe then you'll see some positive changes in your continent. 9 Likes |

It's okay. Good leaders will always prefer dialogue and diplomacy to force. I wonder if Tinubu actually took the GS course named PEACE AND CONFLICT RESOLUTIONS during his days in the university.

Tinubu is really in a deep blue sea with this Niger coup. US hold the weyrey for prick, while other silent countries like Russia etc just fold hand the watch the weyrey next action. The people of Niger has spoken, don't cry more than the bereaved, after all you have an ongoing war in your country to deal with. Fight your battles first, charity begins at home weyrey. 6 Likes |

Stevenson20: For his own political benefits of emergency rule in Nigeria, Tinubu was the man clandestinely instigating force to dislodge the military junta in Niger. Tinubu knew that such war must spill over to Nigeria 🇳🇬. The Superpowers understand that war is dangerous and war is used only when it's absolutely necessary. The coupists of Niger 🇳🇪 Republic are from the country. They are not invaders from another country. So why would Tinubu orchestrate war of ECOWAS against Niger 🇳🇪 Republic coupists, if not for cementing himself in power through emergency rule laws? 1 Like |

Immediately Russian President spoke to Mali President and called for diplomatic solutions America quickly issued their own statement saying the same thing which is calling American betrayal. The shooting down of our military transport helicopter by bandits in Niger State has led to calls for Tinubu to focus more on insecurity in his country than military action in Niger 4 Likes |
