Flangelo12:1. Improve balance of trade. How you ask? By increasing exports! In Nigeria s case it's easier; if we truly saving N1T every two months from subsidy, why not fix our refineries? Palliatives is another subsidy fraud! (By the way, do you know ANYONE who received TraderMonie?) If our refineries are working, we will not be importing fuel! Devaluing your currency actually helps if you are an exporting economy! (China makes sure the yen is always lower valued against the dollar!) Why is NO ONE talking about getting our refineries back to work so that Nigeria becomes a net exporter of refined petroleum products? 4 Likes 1 Share |

Nigeria has a youth population that lacks educational improvement. They believe the world is local with boundaries called their country. They are unable to apply what they learnt in school to the world realities and continue to deceive themselves based on tribal, religious and party lines. They don't read to learn and apply their knowledge to daily realities, yet they want power to be transitioned to them(What a hypocritical youth). Check their comments here on Nairaland and other social media handles, you will spit because their words don't push out logical reasoning. Where have we got it wrong. Let's change our ways, study to make educative comments. UK has of recent increased interest rate continuously to battle inflation, though it's same model across the world but countries need to tilt theirs e.g while Nigeria increase her rate, supply sector should be worked on(Interest rate increase is a model that must be used), Ghana has an Inflation rate above 42%(yet you rubbish your country Nigeria that has 23.%), in Africa Nigeria is among the Nations with a reasonable inflation rate (though not happy with it). Please let us read, Government officials might be reading our comments on platforms to learn and develop on. 4 Likes 1 Share |

SunTzu123: Why your Refinery can't work and if it works, it won't get crude supplied to it. This guy's are more intelligent than ordinary Nigerians because of their access to informations that we all don't have. The reason is basically because of the OPEC quota given to its member nations and the need for dollar for it's Forex reserve. I can't go more than this, it's a public forum. Please connect the dots. sonnie10: Tinubu has never said he was an economist. Tinubu's strong points are that he appoints people who know their job, Okonji-Iweala and even Charles Soludo have approved his policies. If things aren't going well, it is because they were snappily done. If they weren't done, nothing would have been done.. He made the right call. Until a finance minister and CBN governor are appointed , expected some turbulence. 5 Likes 1 Share |

sonnie10:how long will it take to fix the refineries? Read up on all these things so you won’t sound dump! The only single fast approach to bring down dollar rate is stop all imports into these country but that will kill the whole eastern business because all ther goods are imported! China closed all ther borders and reduced drastically ther imports for over 40 years that is why they are where they are now! |
