God has finally done it for me . 3 years worth of work came to fruition and I was able to japa to Chile . Sharing some pics from my trip and my everyday life on this thread. This is for those who think that south america is hell. Theres a lot of amazing countries in the world. You need to research and figure out what works for you. My flight was from Lagos to doha to Brazil and then finally to Chile. I didn't really start taking any pics until I got into Chile. I am sure you can find thousands of pictures about Brazil, Qatar or Lagos online but hardly anyone has posted anything about Chile.

Airport in Chile. Men I was shocked by the neatness. I have been to Italy and las Palmas and honestly their airports don't come close to how neat Chile is. It's fucking crazy

Went out to get my sim card today and everywhere Is so neat and clean even the market is so neat. No papers or anything anywhere.

Internet infrastructure in Chile is very developed. Honestly if not for making calls you can live without getting a sim card. There's literally internet everywhere. From the airport to taxis to trains to buses to restaurants. Just putting up your wifi on any streets brings like 3 free wifi networks and this isn't even the capital city. The capital is Santiago and that's like 7 hours from here. Internet here is also very very fast. Screenshot is from the wifi at the Airbnb I am staying at

It's too sad that nobody writes about South America here and nobody cares, I don't know if it's the language barrier or something else.

For instance, people don't know studying in Brazil is free from kg to PhD, free Healthcare and free feeding , and they also started an exchange program that offers scholarship literally giving you stipends to study there.

Everyone just wan go UK and Europe with their N2m.

If you are in tech, Brazil is a major tech hub. All major large tech firms from Google down to Salesforce have a large engineering presence in Brazil. South america is also very easy to get papers after studies compared to Europe except Finland before they changed it sha.

It was important o. They will ask for proof of Spanish proficiency. In Chile absolutely no one speaks English and I mean it. Without Spanish you will be stranded. Brazil asks for celpe bras. Another thing is that schools will conduct interviews before issions and the interviews will be in Spanish. I will advise anyone to come to south america aside Venezuela and Bolivia. The other countries here are very okay and it's easy to move from south america to the US, Canada or Europe due to the strength of the ports. Even countries like Colombia and Peru, their citizens are exempt from LMIA in Canada and both ports can be gotten in 4 years. Some people have been doing express entry since 2019 and nothing commot. If they enter Peru that 2019 they don get citizenship this year.

The thing with Spanish speakers is that when they see you speaking and they notice it's not your first language they are very forgiving and they tend to use simpler phrases and speak much slower and repeat phrases if need be to get the message across to you. It wasn't that bad. I will say one year is okay.

Considering how expensive flight is in Nigeria, is it advisable to go from say, Ghana? Is it even possible?

I'm guessing you are doing Computer Science?

If yes, did you have any challenge gaining ission to study it since you didn't do computer science in your bsc?

Bants aside, OP has been consistent and persistent in this journey. He did his research really hard and persevered. He applied delayed gratification, saved, curtailed lifestyle inflation etc. He prepared for the worst while in Nigeria because one never loses betting against Nigeria. He deserves it, and I am extremely happy for him.
