babyfaceafrica:It's a natural rule that an umpire cannot change the rule of the game after the game has started. To do so will obviously mean favouring one side over the other. Does it make sense? 6 Likes 1 Share |

Mitsurugi: The court held that Section 50(2) and Section 60(5) give INEC “very wide discretionary powers” to determine how it transmits or transfers election results. “As I had demonstrated earlier in this judgment, the Electoral Act gives the 43rd respondent (INEC) discretion on how it carries out its assignment including how it transmits or transfers the result of election from polling units,” Umar stated. 11 Likes 2 Shares |

tinsel: Bro, this is not about Obi or anything. Pls, we need our country to work. We need an election that is electronically transmitted to improve transparency. This is obtainable in serious countries. We cant keep doing anyhow and expect Nigeria to grow. I would be the happiest if Nigeria can have a reliable electoral system. U maybe benefiting from the malfunction maybe from political appoitments but for how long will Nigeria remain like this? When are we stopping the nonsense elections we run using pen and biro to record results and manually inputing data like we are in 10th century. 7 Likes 1 Share |

paymentvoucher: I'm not arguing that. I'm also saying that INEC itself bound itself to its own rules. Even to the extent of declaring as fake news the position that it wouldn't. Which Ref changes the rules halfway into a game? 1 Like 1 Share |

Mitsurugi: Ref has written guidelines that guide them which they must follow. There is no where it’s written that INEC must transmit result electronically. INEC had the intention of using the same platform that worked for them during Osun election which was was just 24 LGAs compare to general election which is 774 LGAs. They already apologized cos they didn’t prepare well. So many glitches during the election which we saw. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Mitsurugi:Obidiotic pig, where did INEC bind itself, in the Nigerian court or Beerfraud court? INEC outsmarted the Ipobic hackers and changed the mode of transmission before the commencement of the election. If Obi, aka Him TU Lie, and his charge and bail lawyers are not fined N100b for wasting court precious time, then I would agree that our judicial system has been compromised by the Obidiotic pigs and piglets!!! 11 Likes 3 Shares |

This case and one at PEPT are not the same This one is telling INEC to use a particular means or way to collate result, the one at PEPT is asking the court look into the fact that INEC did not follow its own regulation. It's just like going to the swimming pool for a contest, one of the contestants told the ref that, it's best to jump in with both legs, court now said no, ref can decide how one can jump in, now ref now said, you will jump in with your stomach, then during the competition a contestant now crawled in and INEC is said the person that crawled in is right. Was that their regulation? 2 Likes 1 Share |
