The question then is, will VIO give you fine for traffic offence, without you committing a traffic offence. That is the bone of contention here.

So, if VIO give you fine for an offence you are sure you did not commit, you will not contest it?
Have u or any of ur relations ever contest for bailout money wen arrested by police?

You're coming around to telling the truth though there are still snippet of lies as is usual with an APC rat.
Phase1 Shephard filed the motion for 1m forfeiture based on IRS investigation by Agent Moss.
Phase 2 Moss couldn't have filed a motion because he's not an attorney. He was an investigator. He testified against Tinubu. The FBI briefs later showed that the referees for the s were indicted for drugs which led Moss to believe the reason why tinubu failed to file tax returns for those s was because the were proceeds for the traffickers. He interviewed Mobil who said tinubu was just a junior levering staff on a 2400 salary a month and couldn't have had millions of dollars from his legit earnings. This falsifies the claim tinubu made in an interview with TheNews that he was already a millionaire in dollars while working for Mobil. Mind you, in that interview, he claimed he never worked in Mobil USA but UK.
Phase 3 Judge Nordberg never said anything about ex parte order as you claimed. Tinubu was simply informed of the forfeiture by his banks after which he claimed two of those three s contained funds kept in trust for his mum and uncle.
Phase 4 No out of court settlement anywhere. Since Tinubu couldn't explain the source of funds of the third , which is the one Agbele and Adegboyega helped him to open, the judge ordered the funds be forfeited and the judgment entered as final settlement in the matter without any indemnity on future claims concerning the funds. Note that tinubu did not go to the US to claim the funds physically. He only hired a lawyer on his behalf. So i guess, the US authorities thought it will be a waste of time trying to get him to the US without strong evidence linking him to narcotics beyond housing funds. Thus, the decided to take the money and die the matter.
So your claim like tinubu sat down to negotiate settlement with IRS is a big lie.

In summary, obi and atiku are wasting their time reminiscent of pdp and obi bush rats.this prayer is dismissed.tinubj will rule you 8 years.below is the screenshot of the judge order mentioning exparte motion

Is there any sense in challenging an order from a civil case?

So, if VIO or FRSC fines me N5k today for traffic offense, is there any sense in wasting time challenging the order?

Since it’s a forfeiture resulting from a civil case, what’s the point fighting it? Tinubu was already a Senator when the forfeiture order was made against his . So, it makes more sense to simply allow the civil forfeiture order stand than to keep wasting money on appeal. Same way we all pay VIO and FRSC fine for traffic offense without appeal.
N30m was found in your , and you were ordered to forfeit N28m..
(And you were accused that the money came into your through corrupt means)

If that money was truly legit (that is, contrary to the allegation against the true source of the money),, would you just forfeit such huge amount of money and go.??

Is it by force that obi must rule Nigeria? We don't want him. We rejected him
Rest pls
Tafa as IG was acting for himself as the top cop of the country based on claims by legal luminary Gani who believed Tinubu to be a hardened criminal. The FBI attaché did not lie. He was speaking based on available records he had. I hope you know an attaché is a junior officer.
It's not by force for Obi to rule. He clearly said it that he's not desperate to rule unlike a man who said emilokan and it's my lifelong ambition.
Do you see me agitated? You quoted me first. Learn to rest yourself. No one asked you to carry Tinubu's matter on your head or are you related to him?

BJanta: 12:22pm On Jul 22, 2023
Forfeiture is NOT conviction. It's always a penalty for defaulting , noncompliance or to fail to keep an obligation. But a third class graduate of philosophy would never understand this. Your lawyers are just giving you rotten straws to give an appearance of diligence and industry to justify how much they took from you. Then presidential election adjudication does NOT so much dwell on extraneous and frivolous submissions that DO NOT directly affect the conduct of the election or electoral process. They always have a way to work through that. Recall Fayose's case where he presented credentials that bore two different names. Fayose and Oluyose. Technically, Fayose was guilty and was supposed to be convicted and removed as a governor. But because of the political sensitivity of the case and non-relevance of charges to the actual conduct of the the election, the court ruled in his favour. Salisu Buhari, the first speaker of the house of representatives in this dispensation is another classical example. After being made the speaker, hes was discovered to have used fake Toronto University degree certificate. He never was convicted, but only asked to stp down as the speaker. , as well, Dino Melaye's certificate forgery scandal. How did it end? And of course, former president Buhari’s case is still so fresh in the memory so as not to . Obviously, he has no school certificate that the construction requires for every aspirin presidential candidate. Ordinarily having a certificate means having been adjudged successful after attending a course of study. Examinations bodies , employers and all always have this meaning in mind. And that exactly is both the letter and the spirit of the provision. But in view of the sensitivity and non-centrality of the issues to the actual election results, the Supreme Court ruled that the constitutional provision does NOT foresee success in any examination, but mere attendance or age through a secondary school with or without certification. This time around, it's not going to be different. The survival of the nation is more imperative and extremely far more important than the ambition of an individual or a group of people. Which implies that the individual or his ambition can be, and is always sacrificed for the continued existence of the state. Abiola was taken out of the way for this reason. Who is now Obi or Atiku?

The Tribunal are not interested in the money being legit or not, they want to see indisputable proof of Conviction because the constitution is clear about convicted people contesting for Presidency.

That is why it is a court of law and not a viewing centre where the loudest people win the argument, you bring your proof and it is deliberated on, chikena.

If you're way no pure you go sharp sharp ignore the forfeiture.

But if you sure say you pure , you will want to clear your name and integrity.

That's how innocent people approach injustice
In this particular case Tinubu knew he has been put on trouble by allowing his bank to be used for receiving drug money. He was thankful that they didn't find him culpable for criminal offence. So, in this case Tinubu chose not to sue the government because in their records he had not committed a crime that would materially affect him which is why he could freely go to the USA and the USA ambassadors in Nigeria used to pay him visits even as a private citizen. Do you think USA will allow his officers associate with someone with a criminal past, especially a Nigerian?

Are you saying, in like manner, Tinubu committed a drug (related) offence?

If you must be a fan of someone, please be so objective about it.

I'm not saying I don't Tinubu's presidency buh we must call a spade a spade. If we continue to allow this level of sentiment to triumph in our society Nigeria will remain a baby state in 1million years to come. He who goes to equity must go with clean hands.

Kukutente23:

The judgement was a forfeiture for proceeds of narcotics. In truth, if you read through the charge sheet which was made public, Kevin Moss established a connection between Tinubu and Agbele the main culprit initially, which Tinubu later denied. It was his denial that saved him from being indicted coupled with the fact that he was already in Nigeria then. So the forfeiture was for money involved in drug trafficking found in his s.

You're not listening to yourself I swear. He denied and he didn't prove his innocence to clear his name, meaning his denial is useless as he was on paper still attached to the narcotics business dealing and he signed for his money to be taken, a whooping $460k. Use your brain very well, stop reasoning from anus.

Don't mind that misguided, attention seeking bloke.the fine contemplated by the constitution must be borne out of a judgment or a guilty charge or a sentence and in Nigeria.the constitution went further to say a fine or sentence involving dishonesty or fraud which is criminal in nature.is narcotics fraud or dishonesty?

Trading in narcotics involves a lot of dishonesty and fraudulent disclosure.

You cannot successfully trade in narcotics without dishonesty or fraud.

When you conceal and do not disclose what you are carrying across the borders, you are both dishonest and fraudulent.

Fraud has a very wide meaning an it includes embezzlement, concealment, illegal business etched

There's so much ignorance in your post. Fayose showed clearly in court that he's the same person who bore Oluwayose.
Buhari fulfilled Constitutional provision by attending secondary school. The constitution never said he must possess a certificate. That was the interpretation of online lawyers and opposition.
Dino never forged anything. ABU came out to defend him that he indeed graduated from the school.
As for Salisu Buhari the Toronto man, he was never charged to court. I'm sure if his fate befalls Tinubu the opposition will be satisfied

Obi is scammed by his legal representative, no law say one is not eligible to contest elections of any kind because he fail to appeal a judgement.

As clear as this is, I see others celebrating. Indeed Obi, his legal representatives and the Obidients are dumb.

Section 137 barred one who is found guilty of criminal offences for contesting elections for a period of 10 years, it also states clearly that those were at anytime within the Nigerian justification convicted or imprisoned for criminal offences are not qualified to contest elections.

Tinubu was not convicted, he was charged with a criminal offence, he has never been imprisoned within the Nigerian jurisdiction or outside, the case against Tinubu was a civil case.

Obi has lost for the second time

Strawman fallacy is deliberately constructing an alternate argument differently from the one that has been advanced; then going ahead to attack the weakness(es) in the argument constructed.

Tinubu forfeiture was in drug case.
