I don't put any of my apps on auto-update. I've been able to carry out my transaction via mobile browser. I have no choice but to hang on till they sort out their mess

Sometime last week Gtbank sent messages to all her customers about their new app. So if you're still using the old app, better switch to their new app

Nobody hacked anything. GTB has been misbehaving for a while now. I've been getting "Null reference exception" intermittently when logging into the app for almost a month.
Someone obviously deployed "beans" into prod.

Not true, they only updated their GT world app 10th of July, and s can't get past authentication stage, so I'll advice you keep using the old GT world app. Other than that, everything is fine.

For those who have upgraded to the new version and are unable to use it, kindly use internet banking or USSD to transact, pending when the issues around the app is resolved. Do not the previous GT world app version from a third party source.

Customers were previously debited for a transaction but due to the glitch they were debited again.

I was at the bank yesterday and the customer care agent told me about their new upgraded app which ofcourse he told me to delete the old app to the new one on monday, there's nothing like hack or whatever. Y'all should stop spreading fake news.
