We already booked an appointment. We are only trying to get the needed documents ready for her visa application. Yes, she has not been given an appointment date but we are hopeful she will get one soon but since I don't have the RP yet, and possibly may not get it before her appointment date, I thought my visa would suffice for now.

Is it almost 14 months since she booked?

Good evening house, I got a call from the embassy lawyer today, he just called me to say he is the one handling my file, but he didn't give a date when he is coming, My question is
1). Do the lawyers also speak with your reference
2) since he called me without giving me a date he is coming, I hope it's all good
3) what questions do the always ask during the verification, and what form do my parents have to fill

I am aware that some persons do not have to go through the verification process, while other do. So the question now is: How do they select those that needs to be verified and how do they select those that dont require the verification step.

has to approve your coming before the embassy can give you visa. So after your spouse summits required documents to ABH and they are satisfied with your spouse status, they will send preapproval to the embassy. Its called preapproval because just one party has approved,the embassy has to also approve but even if the embassy approves has to approve too before the whole visa process is complete. Please senior colleagues correct me if am wrong .

I booked on the 27th of May got my mail for appointment on the 30th of June for an interview for the 27th of July. Hope this helps

I booked my appointment February 2022
I had my appointment on 6 April 2023
Embassy lawyer called me on the 1 July 2023
But I'm yet to see my lawyer, he hasn't given me a date that he is coming

Mine gave me a date,saw me first before seeing others. He'd see your family and references,give them a form to fill and interview them nothing difficult as long as you don't have anything that's false then no need to worry. Yours might want to see others first before seeing you,but you could have asked him too when he was coming.

please i would like to ask some questions?
I am a single parent (Never Married) and an Msc student in , I am looking to bring my 6 year old child with a family reunion visa. i have already booked for an appointment (May 12th, 2023) and I know it takes over a year to get a date.

1. Please, is there anyone who is a single parent who has successfully brought their child to ?
2. Are MSc students (non Daad scholars) asked to show proof of funds? and Housing ?

Please I will really appreciate any response and advise, I am very new to this.
