This is a newly bought 1 hp Panasonic normal AC made in Malaysia. Yet to be installed though. From the power rating, it shows Panasonic normal AC are not economical in of power. Anybody using 1 hp hisense normal AC should please state it's power rating for comparison with Panasonic power consumption.

Is it possible for two LG AC of either 1hp or 1.5hp to have the same model number? I saw LG AC 1hp in River State and I later saw another LG AC 1hp in Kaduna State with the same model number. |

How do you guys know fake and original LG AC?
|
mangolpupa: 5:03pm On Jun 20, 2023 |
isangjohnson: Oga do you mean serial number? The model of an AC can be same, what should never be same is serial number. |

isangjohnson: Buying from authorised dealers is a sure no story way to go. Not that you won't find many reputable LG showroom selling genuine AC. But if you're highly risk averse, please buy from Fouani. The are LG authorised dealer in Nigeria. I think they do "free delivery" above a certain amount. |

nonny1212: Please what settings should I leave my AVS so that they will give my LG Dual Inverter ACs the best protection from power surges. I've tried researching to no avail. Wait time (ranging from 3 seconds to 10 minutes) Output minimum voltage (ranges from 150v - 230v) Output maximum voltage (ranges from 230v - 290v) @Sacramento1212 @fashrola @mangolpupa |
mangolpupa: 12:29pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
tizteezy: Sir, look through your maintenance and operations manual of your AC unit and see if the advised what the waiting times should be in-b/w putting the unit on and off. If the did, that's what the wait time should be set as. In the absence of that information, I will recommend 5 mins. Note that this means that if they take light now and bring it back "immediately", it will take 5 mins before the unit (AC) is supplied electricity to start working again. I would recommend 160V for minimum voltage & 240V for maximum voltage. This means that your AVS will accept voltage between 160v - 240v and stabilize it around 230v (educated guess as i dont have your manual) for your AC unit. |
tizteezy(m): 1:36pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
mangolpupa: Thank you bro The voltage is my concern now On the label of the AC, it's rated 220v-240v The are all LG Dual Inverter ACS 1.5hp and some are 1hp. So are you saying 160v is enough and advisable? If so, does it mean in the case of voltage fluctuations, the AVS will maintain a stable output? How is that possible when the output is set to range from 160-240v? And what woukd be thre stable output number? Knowledge is power, so I'm trying to learn |
mangolpupa: 2:44pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
tizteezy: Oga your AVS stands for automatic voltage stabilizer (unless otherwise described in your unit). A stabilizer ensures that it "stabilizes" the incoming voltage (within its operating range) to a predefined output voltage of 230v for the receiving appliance.. So yes, your AVS ensures your appliance is getting a constant voltage supply. If set to the suggested voltage range of 160v - 240v, your AVS will shut off supply of electricity to the connected appliance for voltages outside that range. If within the set operating range, it will either step up or step down the voltages to 230v. I hope this helps. |
tizteezy(m): 3:35pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
mangolpupa: It helps a lot Meanwhile Are you saying that 160v is enough to power an inverter AC functionally? |
mangolpupa: 5:09pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
tizteezy: Oga sebi you say na AVS you get? Please re-read my messages. Your Automatic Voltage Stabilizer (AVS) should be able to step up 160v to 230v. it falls within its design parameters (AVS). |
tizteezy(m): 5:20pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
mangolpupa: Boss Then why do AVS give room for adjustment of output voltage range? What does that adjustment imply? Something ain't clear We're all learning though |
mangolpupa: 5:40pm On Jun 21, 2023 |
tizteezy: Oga they are simply giving you the opportunity to choose what you want your input voltage range to be. Another manufacturer may just leave their AVS with the minimal and maximum voltage input range of 150v - 290v. That way you have nothing to select. Another person with same AVS may decide that 180v - 260v input voltage suits his/her appliance and area. |
tizteezy(m): 7:18am On Jun 22, 2023 |
mangolpupa: Cheers boss.... I appreciate So in conclusion, from your experience you're saying 160V is enough to run an inverter AC without issues? So I can set mine to 160v minimum and 240v maximum? |
fashrola(m): 8:38am On Jun 22, 2023 |
ayobamizz: Learn to read carefully next time…. I only said it’s not necessary for newly installed AC unit because some AC units sold are already precharged (Except if it has been tampered) and doesn’t require vacuuming the unit. Only an AC technician can advise you on this, do not go forming ITK for your new unit to be vacuum before installation. I bought a brand new inverter AC unit three years ago and it was not vacuumed when it was installed and it is working perfectly till date. So what can you make of that? ![]() |

mangolpupa:. Thanks sir |
ayobamizz: 9:40am On Jun 23, 2023 |
fashrola:Now I know your problem. Your problem is that you don't actually know the purpose of vacuum in an AC system. AC Vacuum is not to remove the refrigerant inside the AC but the air which contains moisture from the AC. Air moisture reduces the life span of your evaporator and condenser coil because rust takes place in the presence of air moisture. Your AC will work but the life span is compromised already by not removing air moisture from the AC system. You can Google this fact to be sure 1 Like |

Good morning guys Please my Ac won’t respond to the remote, it won’t turn off, it won’t even reduce or increase the temperature. I have changed the batteries of the remote and it’s still the same thing. How do I solve this problem please? |
