Thank you for ur , no lump sum. I worked for every penny I have legally. I only decided on paying my full tuition upfront and using a GIC hopefully it will increase my chances as I don't want to apply a 2nd time

IRCC does not intend to investigate the source of your funds so long it is not a lump sum as study permit application is quite different from Express Entry. Only the source of lump sums are required to be addressed.

You just need to explain that your funds emanated from past savings which you have accumulated from your past and current jobs which can be evidenced by your employment contract, offer letter or employment reference letter.

You need no paystub/pay slip, it is only in Express Entry they need those to justify your work experience and the fact that you really worked for the employer you are claiming to have worked for and not for the sources of your funds.

Meanwhile, you must explain the source of LUMP SUMS if any because they don't want you to go borrow this fund.[/quote]

Sorry Whitie for the refusal.

Were you privy to the SOP written by the agent for your application?

If the source of the funds from your mum was not explained with proofs, then it will not count in your favour. Hope the agent has requested for the GCMS notes? Please do not be depressed.

The agent said he explained the reason for the lump sum
They demanded for documents to proof Canadian host’s asset despite not been a minor
Someone should please explain the English cause I can’t seem to think straight and the possible solution if any

Hi,

1. Inform the agent to send you the SOP that he/she submitted for the application, you need to see what he wrote to conclude that he provided sufficient explanation for the source of lump sum.
2. The host referred to here like Angie88 said is your Mum, they do not have enough documents showing her income source.
If the agent is refusing to send you the SOP then you should know he/she is hiding something from you.

Kindly request for the GCMS notes, 15m that is your own is different from 15m that belongs to your sponsor.

There are ways to address issues and arrange documents when it comes to sponsorship.

Each case is different.

Also, your program cost, program duration among others are crucial factors.

Another thing to consider is whether or not your sponsor deposited that money into your and back it up with valid documents.

Also, does your sponsor have an unexplained lump sums?

People who used sponsorship with just 10m have gotten visa approvals. Everything depends on your approach.

If I may add, it is also necessary to prove that the sponsor's responsibility won't have a negative effect on his/her standard of living.

My sponsor is willing to gift me 10,000 pounds, which is equivalent to 9.3 million Nigerian naira and 27,000 Canadian dollars.

After this transaction, my sponsor will have 12,000 pounds left in their , equivalent to 20,000 Canadian dollars.

If I provide my bank statement along with my sponsor's bank statement

Is the above amount sufficient to grant me a Canadian visa?

Please kindly provide suggestions if there is an alternative solution.

Who is the sponsor to you? That's a huge sum he is about to let go. So you really have to convince the VO on why he or she would let go such amount for your education. If sponsor is your parents or sibling then it makes it a whole lot easier r

You will also need to prove source of income of your sponsor whether he transfers the money to you as a gift or submits his SOA.

Let's assume your sponsor has taken care of your tuition, does your own personal SOA cover your 2 years living expenses and miscellaneous?
And if sponsor is to submit his SOA, he has to properly explain every lump sum.

The funds won't be enough for a two-year course

Tuition fee = 20,000
Living expenses = 20,000
Flight = 2,000
Miscellaneous = 3,000

Even though you are supposed to show at least a years' living expenses, we aren't that lucky with IRCC. The funds to be sent by your sponsor will cover only your tuition.
if your sponsor is willing to give you documents to back up his income sources, then you can submit his documents and state that he will provide more funds for the second year.

PLEASE I NEED URGENT ADVISE!
My brother's ission is REVOKED this evening. He got LOA for Conestoga College on March 01,2023 and the following information:
Classes Start September 05, 2023.
$1,500 non refundable deposit was to be paid on or before March 31,2023.
The balance of the first semester tuition fees to be paid on or before June 13, 2023.
First Academic year tuition fee was $18,794Cdn.
First semester tuition was $10,129Cdn.
Since we couldn't get the complete/expected amount on time for the POF, we told a friend who was helping us for the ission in Canada to push for referral after paying the acceptance fees and we were processing the first semester tuition fee as well via FormA.
He applied for the referral but was refused due to non payment of one full semester fees.
In April 14,2023, new ission was issued to my brother with the following information:
Classes Start January 08,204.
$1,500Cdn non refundable deposit to be paid on or before May 11,2023.
The balance of the first semester tuition fees are to be paid on or before October 10,2023.
First Academic year tuition fee $18,502Cdn.
First semester fee $9,837Cdn.
QUESTIONS:
1.Why will the ission revoke when a new ission/LOA has been given and dateline for the payment of first semester tuition fee is October 10,2023?
2. If at all the school was still working on the dateline of the first ission letter/LOA, why was the second ission letter issued?
3. What should we do now?
PLEASE PEOPLE SHOULD ADVISE US APPROPRIATELY.
We have already paid the acceptance fees from the first ission letter given and we were waiting for FormA approval to pay the first semester tuition fees balance as we were working on the new dateline of October 10,2023 from the second ission letter/LOA.

The REVOKED LETTER has the following informations:
Term: Winter 2024.
Campus: Doon.
Start Date: January 08,2023.
Offer Issued Date: April 11, 2023.
Offer Expiry Date: May 11,2023.
Offer for the program revoke due to program/campus change, late/no payment, registration date ed, visa issue.
We gave our friend the acceptance fees to pay in February this year and he told us the money was paid.
Does it mean, we were supposed to pay another acceptance fee for the new ission letter/LOA given to us for the referral?

Even 9m will get you into Canada if you strategize on it very well.

Let me give you the analysis;

Tuition fee $18,000 for a one-year course
Living Expenses $10,000/yr.
Miscellaneous Expenses $3000.
TOTAL: $31,000. Using the official CBN rate of $1/345, this is equal to NGN 10,695,000.

Meanwhile, the tuition fee quoted above is one of the most expensive because you can get a one-year course for as little as $10,000+.

The above is not based on theory but practical.

Nice breakdown

Sponsor is my Sibling.

Ohk. He should be able to explain his source of income and why he is willing to part away with such funds sponsor you (if possible cite past instances where he has shown commitment and to your welfare)
He should his sponsorship letter with the following docs.
Statement of acct
Employment letter/recent pay slips if employed. If business owner then registration certificate, invoices, receipts etc. This will also help explain if possible any lump sum there.
His ID
Birth certificates of u and him and if u have any evidence of previous commitments shown to you, attach them either in monetary form or otherwise.
Don't forget to add pics.
All this is assumed the money will be in his acct.

Ideally, if he sends the money to you, a gift deed ought to be okay but VOs differ, they might question if it was done for demonstrative purposes as the money is huge. So it's still advisable after doing gift deed, you still back it up with all I listed above.
You also have to explain all this in your sop.

Someone up there was denied despite doing a gift deed for a lump sum of 8million sent to his acct by his mum. Guess he didn't explain in details the source of his mum income. That's why I said you should still do all above even if your sibling transfers the money to you and back it with a gift deed.

Goodluck

Pls I need honest advice for someone who already has a Netherlands MSc degree with no solid work experience since 2015 but has a small start-up company in Nigeria and want to relocate to Canada, can he apply for a Postgraduate Diploma course and not have issues regarding visa grant? Cos he cannot pay for another MSc and would like to go for a programme without thesis since he already has acquired SUCH in Netherlands. He just needs a professional certificate but should be recognised by the Canadian embassy for visa. Can someone please say if he should apply for studies again and is it true that students who do not make an initial deposit for their tuition will be sent back home at Canada airport even if it is a no=deposit programme ?

Can someone please post the new full requirements for study visa application if you want to self fund or use a sponsor?

For example, will the sponsor have to provide evidence of landed property and tax certificate if he already has CAC document?

If it is a limited liability company, will the sponsor have to show evidence of relationship ties with shareholders and attestation of birth certificate/ notarized relationship affidavit with the sponsor?

If it is self-funded and you have your own company, but you have zero balance in the current but money in your savings and will you have to show proof of former employment places that were listed in your CV before you set up your company etc?

I am just reading different requirements requested here and there please I want one or two persons to please list the detailed requirements for Canada Postgraduate Study Visa (single person), Conference and Tourist visa (single person) as of 2023 so I know how to prepare the documents and which pathway to choose based on the availability of documents for any of the visa type.

Thanks
