I had my interview on Tuesday and was given form 221g because the VO said he can’t find proof of my sevis fee on his system while the payment has been made. I have a confirmation receipt and my school confirmed receiving the money.
I met a CGI official, he said I should submit my proof of payment and port via DHL to the consulate while the form instructed I schedule a follow-up interview which isn’t appearing on my Dropbox option.

Please can someone who has experienced this or has an idea advice me on what to do?

2. You should get a response within 48 hours.
3. You will get a response via mail directing you to the CGI portal
4. The dates they will open up for you will be within 1 to 3 days from the date your approved. Be sure you are prepared to interview before you book EA, else, yo won't have enough time to prepare.

I’m not an expert o. But saying you’re staying with your Husband for 5years is a big red flag especially when you mentioned that your husband’s PhD is 6years!!! 6 kini ? Most department advise PhD students to finish their program between 4/5years after which they won’t the student again(please research this)


Finally your answer to who’s sponsoring your trip should have been something different. Maybe say you if you can afford it considering your salary. But your husband’s GTA covers only him and I’m not sure he can even save from it.

I believe the problem here is the length you want to stay in the US with 2kids on a very lean budget. It honestly doesn’t make sense to me.

I initially got an assistantship offer and requested an I-20 from the school and proceeded with paying my Sevis and booking a visa appointment,
But then I just got a better assistantship offer from my Dream school.

I have requested for an I-20 from the new school where I got funded.

Plus what do I do next?
Can I change my Sevis No. in the CGI website from the old Sevis number I originally submitted to the one in my new I-20 from my dream school?

And how do I go about it ?
