So nice to hear Where did these fake news mongers get the news that the refinery won’t start production until 2027? 43 Likes 5 Shares |

Since it's only one man that the government had given monopoly right, the next line of investment he should enter is electricity. It doesn't take more than 5yrs to fix this country if he have d right people in place.

I told y'all the refinery wasn't ready and that Buhari just put pressure on this man to do fake Launch so he can claim it as part of his failed istration achievement...I doubt the refinery can even start working in July , it's takes month to test the distillators and I don't think any of them have even been fired up yet ...Let Buhari and APC keep deceiving themselves

Why not wait till when ready before commissioning? This is just a ploy by buhari and apc to claim credit of leaving a legacy

This just shows you that proper privatization is the only way to fix this country's economy. Government as usual can't be trusted to run our economy and infrastructure. But if it is properly privatized (not that rubish that Goodluck did where he sold parts of Nepa to his cronies). It will lead to economic boom. I can see more modular refineries being built once Dangote proves this venture can be profitable.

Does this means subsidy will disappear?

From the hundreds of thousands of barrels of PMS that would be refined per day in this refinery, are we still going to be purchasing PMS for over N700 if subsidy is eventually removed? Cos subsidy (according to the government) is the fee paid to independent marketers to reduce the price of refined petroleum products for consumers (Nigerians), since Dangote would be operating from Nigeria is it safe to say that we're going to experience a reduction in the price of fuel since subsidy would no longer be paid? Would the refinery have a direct impact in the prices of fuel and Diesel? Would it cushion the effect of the fuel subsidy removal on we the masses? 14 Likes |

We pray for the best for Nigeria. They systematically killed nnpc refineries because of this project. Monopoly doesn't like competitions 1 Like 2 Shares |

Good news. But somethings what most people have not realised is that petrol from Dangote refinery will only be cheaper by about N17-N21 difference when he starts selling, which is the cost saved from landing cost, logistics and other importation charges. In reality, when subsidy is removed, his petrol will only be cheaper by that margin considering the existing market realities. Hmmm, this refinery remains suspect to me. Tinubu should hold on on subsidy removal for the first 6 months then. Because this dangote will sell at market rate if not higher. If Dangote sees rate of 2000 per liter, he will sell at 1999 per liter with all sort of excuses. If he sees it at 265, that's also what he will sell. Only competition makes Dangote bring down price. He's a businessman that wnats to gain, not a charity organisation.
