Estonia is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe bordered to the north by the Gulf of Finland, to the west by the Baltic Sea, to the south by Latvia . Do you know that you can travel all over Europe as an International Student? ***Please write correct grammer and be polite if you have any questions/directions.*** 4 Likes |

[quote author=sulakishop post=121707091]Are there carer job's for nurses there? There are opportunities for nurses all over Europe. However, in my honest opinion it will be a struggle because of the language barrier. Any profession in the health sector requires you have at least A1 level of Estonian Language. You can come in as a student or other immigration routes. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Estonia is one of the safest countries in Europe. Compared to other European countries, the tuition fees and living costs are relatively low. You can go from one Schengen country to another with your Residence Permit. 2 Likes |

JustEducate: Won't it be better if you can give the intending students a general/an average estimate of the amount of money(plus other requirements) they need to get there? That will help them when comparing potential countries they can migrate to for studies. 8 Likes |

So to migrate to Estonia, you will need to put in your application outside of Nigeria. The embassies that issue D Visa (when you get to Estonia you will now get your Temporary Residence Permit. The closest embassies to Nigeria are Abu Dhabi, Egypy and Turkey. On average, the tuition fees is in the range of 2,3/4000 Euros depending on the course of study. Do that there is always the advantage of scholarships (this will be covered soon). The application process is very simplified, as long as you have all the documentations. Documents to get include your: Valid port, Proof of funds, Evidence of insurance (Please it is not the normal insurance you get when you are going on European holidays) Tax clearance (if you run a business in Nigeria) Evidence of your letter of ission Proof of accommodation (in Estonia) The first process is to get your ission sorted and write excellent personal statement/letter of motivation. You can get assistance with that. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Do you know that you can stay in Estonia for 270 days (9 months) after the expiration of your Temporary Residence Permit as an international student? There are rumours in social media that it is only 90 days! No this is not true. As at today 17th March, 2023 the law still stands and it will be so for a long time! Do you also know that within that 270 days, you can still travel within the Schengen area? All you need is a sticker that you can get in your port. This will only cost you 30Euros. What this 270 days means is that within that period, you can get an employment so that you can change your status. You can get Long-Term Residence Permit for 5 years at a stretch. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

You're right, it's one of the cheapest countries. My intended program is just €3,900 per year, whereas I'm seeing like $30k for the same course in other countries. The only issue I have is the visa processing and proof of funds required. Do you have an idea of how much needs to be provided for proof of funds?

I heard they have unlimited working hours for students; how does this translate to being able to pay your school fees ane bills with little or no help(financial) from home(naija) supposing your able to secure job(s).

Emeraldfynest: ................. What immigration stream do you want to go for? Is it as an International Student? If I have that information I may be able to give you a guide. |
JustEducate(f): 5:34pm On Mar 18, 2023 |
unique:............................................... Yes, international students do not have any limited time to the hours they can work. However, it is very important that you do not neglect your studies so that it does not negate your future applications. You can structure your time to work in the evenings, weekends or whenever you are free. Most of the international students work and study. It is not like UK where you have set amount of hours to work. In Estonia, you have access to work and travel in and out of all the Schengen Areas. The goodnews is that there are scholarships available. 1 Like 1 Share |

Important:- International students do not need an additional working permit to work while studying full time. As long as it doesn’t interfere with their studies. After studies:- International students can stay for an additional 270 days (9 months) after graduation to look for a job in Estonia. For example, if you come in for a Master's Programme which is two years, when you finish your course you don't need to apply for anything because the 270 days comes into force automatically. They want you to use this period to look for employment if you choose to stay back or decide to go back to your home country. Once the job is found, you can apply for a temporary residence permit and there is no need to meet any salary criterion. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Emeraldfynest:........................................................................................................................... In answer to your question, I would advise you have equivalent of about 10,000 Euros in the you would present. The reason for this is because they recently increased the subsistence to about 800Euros per month (meaning the rough expense of what they expect you to spend in a month). They do not expect you to have the full proof of funds for two years in your ...just the first year. If you will be applying as a Masters student, you will get the D Visa first and when you arrive Estonia, you will get Two years Temporary Residence Permit . Hope this helps? 1 Like 1 Share |

Emeraldfynest:............................................................................................................................................. You might not need up to that figure, but you just want to be on the safe side, to portray that you are comfortable in Nigeria and will not be dependent on them when you arrive. A lot of people do not know that even as a student in Estonia, you can apply for from the Un-Employment funds. 1 Like 1 Share |

JustEducate: Hi dear, so if I were to go for masters or PHd, can I travel with my kids, I have four of them. |
JustEducate(f): 6:07pm On Mar 19, 2023 |
Happychioma:.............................................................................................................. Hello There are lots of opportunities by doing a Phd. You are not restricted in so many ways. Yes, you can go with your family. However, I would advise that you go first because you would need to sort out accommodation and settle down a little bit. The good news is that they do not have to wait for too long and the process to get their own Residence Permit will not take too long. I would advise that you get a free Phd though. Your free scholarship documentation will serve as part of the proof of funds. Regards |

phemmzy96: ............................................................................................................................................... Hello, Thanks for your questions. If you have an HND then you can qualify for a Post-Graduate studies. As long as you have all the necessary documentations. You can get offer for ission with solid motivation letter. The easy route is still for study. You can explore other process if you have enough money to apply for a Start-Up Visa. You can also come in via direct employment (may be very difficult process). You can send Direct Email. |
