Age falsification is not a scandal. Everyone has three or four different ages. There are more serious issues than when you were born or not

Age falsification is already a norm in the Nigerian civil service due to inability to secure government appointments early. People mostly get these appointments when in mid or late 30s leaving them with few service years to retirement. Few days ago I met a man almost 40years old with his "brand new" birth certificate. Guess what was written on it? 22 years MAY GOD SAVE THIS CORN TREE

In government job your appointment start from the time you are employed, if you are employed at 40 for instance you will retire at 75 not 65

If we had working institutions instead of strong men, this particular situation wouldn't have been news worthy

Where did you get this from there's nothing like that in the public service rules. You either retire spending the mandatory 35years in service (if you got the job early) or retire once you attain the age of 60.
Those that retires at 65 are teachers (recently approved) and tertiary institution workers while Professors retires at 70. I think Judges too retires at 70.
