Thank you so much. It went well. I was at home for three weeks but I was paid in full when my BRP came. I still work there. The other job I was eyeing didn’t not click, I’m glad I was calm with them.
I went alone to the disciplinary action and explained I was awaiting my biometrics date and afterwards BRP. I was told to stay at home until it comes. It’s all story now as I resumed back in mid February. Thanks so much for your concern.

If the primary applicant intends to apply for post-study, the dependent(s) will need to have applied for a visa and enter the Uk 6 months before the end of studies.

Unless they are looking to secure other type of visa...

Point of correction, there’s no where on UKVI website where this 6months thingy was mentioned. It’s not a Pe requisite for dependant visa .

hi everyone, its been a while..

I need advice on a current situation

I applied for my spousal visa extension (FLR M) in the last week of June 2022 with biometrics done same week, and not gotten concrete response from Home Office since then. It was a standard application as there were no priority options available then, which I think was due to the Ukraine Family Scheme which affected timelines for applications within and outside the UK.

I only received a mail in August 2022 stating it will take longer than expected, and nothing more. There has been no proper way of communicating with anyone in Home Office, as the Home Office designated phone nos is automated, and there is no human interaction available.

I ed my MP twice in October 2022 & January 2023 explaining the situation and the mental effect the delay has had on my family and I.
Home Office replied to the MP that my application will not be expedited unless I can provide medical evidence, prescriptions or a doctors note that my mental/physical health has declined as a result of the outstanding application (which i couldn't provide).

My port also expires in October 2023 and i thought by now, I would have gotten my extension and can then face the Nigerian port renewal hustle.

Questions:

- Is there anyone with similar delay for any applications within the UK? If so, how did you manage to reach Home Office? I was thinking of ing my MP a 3rd time next week when it will be 9months since I made my application.

- My port which is to expire in October 2023 has the initial spousal visa on it. Can I renew now even with a pending application? Should I wait?

- I haven't been able to switch jobs because i feel having an expired BRP will be a problem even if I have scale through the interview stages. My current employers have no issue, as they do that right to work check with my application nos. However, I intend to switch jobs as the UK economy dey cost more and more. Can I switch jobs with an expired BRP but with a pending application for renewal?

This whole thing has been annoying, after spending good sum on application fees and biometric appointment to get a good time slot. I can't even travel for personal and work purposes as i'm sure I won't be able to come back in with my expired BRP.

What I saw on Facebook marketplace. Example bidding for a car at 500 though with minor dent and that sells at Facebook marketplace for 2000. So if I didn’t see this cheap option I wouldn’t be talking about all this as I know how much shipping is let alone clearing. I am just trying to confirm if the copart website is a genuine site and is it where I can buy from and won’t be throwing money away.

Their prices are great, but make sure you read the details before bidding. Most of them has crazy damages of which you do not know if the damages were all listed, and repairable.

types. Switch, extension or spousal visa) submitted between Feb and May.

For me, I reapplied for another visa and it was approved two days after submission. The old visa fee was also refund three months after I received visa for the new application.

Although, some people later received visa but I could no longer wait after 7 months...

You have a 14 day grace period to put in another application though this means you will have to stop working pending a decision is made.

The only option you have is to keep chasing them 😓

Is it possible to to secure a load due to a good credit score to finance my studies and which loan company can i approach for this

I didn't withdraw my application. HR issued another COS and I submitted a new application without withdrawing the first.

I was asked if I have a pending application, I selected yes and provided the application number for it. Old application was nullified

You would not get a study loan, from any financial institution.......

So your only choice is a personal loan....... Let's assume you request a personal loan of £10,000 * 2 (assuming it gets approved) ......

Think thoroughly about your repayment plans ..... Make you no go chop fish, with crazy bones ......😜🤣

NB : I just got a loan illustration..... On a £10,000 loan, over 36 month's........ No be small repayment o, assuming you require £20,000 ........😂

Generally, what happens to valid visas on expired ports?

I still have just over 6months left on the port.. I think I will wait an extra month to see if I get my spousal visa extension approval from HO
