I can never ever in my life advise anyone to go any African country. I don't rate any African country and it's a lie about moving to usa or Canada from Mauritius. Mauritius has zero trade agreements with both countries so on what visa is he gonna move to Mauritius. Even if he stays and becomes a Mauritius citizen it will still not be easy to enter America.

Their visa waiting timelines should be shorter than Nigeria and it is easier immigrating to a developed country when in a seemingly developed country. I think that is his point. Also, getting remote jobs from Mauritius should be easier, and maybe, just maybe, tech roles in finance firms.

I doubt. It's still an African country. The visa thing might be true but then a visit visa doesn't give working rights. I don't think spending 2 million to move to an African country is a wise decision. I rather go to Brazil with that money.

It's not a visit visa but a student visa. You can apply for work permit within six months after completing your study in Mauritius. It's easier moving from Mauritius to developed countries than from Nigeria. Qtguru studied in Mauritius, am sure he can confirm this.

Getting a tech job in Europe or America as a Nigerian is bloody damn difficult.
A lot of roles have seen they will stated it loud and clear that if you are coming from so so country don't bother to apply or you must be living in so so country before you can apply or you must have authorized to work in this country before you apply.
Few among those tech companies who don't requires these will reject you immediately.
It tough out there to see job as a tech person living in Nigeria.
