Lead import requires you to provide the end 's details to Dan( there's an option to import lead in your ). You do this by filling the import lead form where you add details like the domain name you're importing lead for, the lead's email, the lead's name, lead's phone number and the agreed amount(if you've agreed on a price)

Did you include in your outbound mail that the domain would send high SV traffic if redirected to his current website?
If you didn't promise that, simply tell him you can only redirect the domain for a short moment just for authentication of ownership.
But if did promise, e don choke be that.
