1. A mechanic inspected the car for me and pointed out that the steering pump and rear absorbers were bad. I have plans to buy new parts as replacements. The ABS leak, and the oil stain below the timing belts were not present at the point of purchase, could be due to the fact that the engine was thoroughly washed by the seller. We test drive the car and it worked fine, the gear and engine. I drove it from Ikeja to Mowe but I entered few pothoes on my way, then the instability developed.

2. No part of the car is rusty.

3. I am prepared to buy new parts. I personally don't like fixing same issue twice.

4. So far I can get competent professionals that will fix the issues at reasonable prices, I'm ready.

If you can recommend a professional that will be willing to help, I will be grateful.

Looks like fuel pressure regulator valve issue. I am only assuming but can’t conclude as I have not checked the car yet or a proper diagnosis has not been carried out.

The problem I have is getting a mechanic who have a good fuel pressure gauge. The one I was able to get did not have correct adopters for my car. The readings were not stable due to fuel losses along the fuel line. We tried through the engine bay and inside the car (the fuel line ontop of the fuel tank). I even changed the entire assembly (fuel pump) tokombo but got same result. I stay in Port-Harcourt.

Hello Guys my AC system stopped working cos of black death, I changed the entire AC system but I noticed the car is not cooling as it use to and the first AC vent located at the far left driver side blows warmer then the ones in the middle overall performance of the AC is mid compared to before ...what can I do? I am tired cos I have replaced every single part already. 2008 accord with 2.0 R20 engine.....HELP PLEASE!!!

Add more gas to it.
Meanwhile, hope you pulled vacuum before refilling?

Every part installed is brand new except the Belgium compressor. the AC guy just used a hose to suck out air from the pipes and nothing more, is that what pulling out the vaccum means? thanks for the response.

I’m not an AC technician and I don’t dabble into what I am not knowledgeable about. Pls, have it checked by a competent technician.

It's more than just sucking out the air. He needs to suck out moisture as well and should be done for 30mins.
After that, he needs to see if the system will hold vacuum for over 30mins without dropping.
When he's through with that, he should fill the right gas into the system with the right quantity for good cooling (that's assuming if there are not issues with the system)

The guy didn't do any of these o...which kind life be this?!
just installed the components, checked for leakages filled the lines with 2 gas cannisters and that was it.

Good morning. My Honda Civic 03 don’t shift to reverse when i shift to reverse it will just be as if i’m in neutral Gear. and i just finish repairing the gearbox. so my Gear specialist said he’ll need to bring down the gear box again and clean the every part that i’m not buying anything but yunno i’ll buy oil buy injector cleaner and petrol. Before the gear won shift to Higher gear like 3,4 & 5 but after fixing its shifting well. should i allow him to do it or i should just look for money and Change the entire gearbox. and if there’s option to swap old gearbox for a new one and Add money

Mechanic cleaned the throttle body, it stopped. I'm still observing the car for now. I will update the forum when I am fully convinced that the problem is solved

Good evening gurus in the house. I had an incident yesterday while driving yesterday from a friend's house to my place in the night, during the rain.

After driving for about 2 hours we got to a bad road and while trying to negotiate a slippery slope, the car skidded off the road and the engine went off. All attempts to restart it was abortive until someone used his own car battery to start the car and I managed to drive it home that way.

This morning I started with my own battery and it started no issues but I was still worried so i got an electrician to check the car. After scanning everything checked out fine. So he told me that the alternator that came with the car was weak. And that it was not able to handle all the functions we were using at that time of the night ( A/C, full lights, wippers, radio and charging points) were all in use at the time.

He advised that I should change the alternator to a more powerful type, not the type that shipped with the car. I gave this a thought and I didn't quite agree with his suggestion.

Please has anyone experienced this before? And how was it resolved. The car in question is a Honda civic 2004, like I wrote earlier, everything is intact with the car and it hasn't exhibited that kind of fault before.

Check if the kick is still active. Maybe a wormout kick starter.

I don’t know anyone in Onitsha, I don’t reside there and I don’t know how they sell Honda parts there.

Have your mechanic replace your AF sensor and test your EGR valve, if it’s not working, it too should be replaced. With that done, your car should be fine.

I was carried away when putting it back to my compartment. This act signalled parking light with a buzzing sound. When I noticed, I rearranged the terminals how it should be. Now engine is not cranking, no light in the instrument cluster, nothing is working except the horn. What could have happened? Honda DC.

Have a competent electrician check the fuses and relays in ALL fuse boxes and the wirings.
Hope our ECU never damage?

Tanx man! 👍Car was checked out, the 100Amp fuse was blown. Electrician had to do their normal temporary wire by, the car started. Will revert to the main fuse ASAP. Me no like wire wire fuse Maka village people 🤣🤣

You’re welcome sir, pls change that rework fuse to the proper amperage.
