The arrow direction is because arsenal is at home

Peter Drury's commentary of our winning goal from 15:30- 15:54 combined with the display of emotions from our players gives me serious goosebumps every I watch it again. Listen to it with a good earpiece/ headphone to get the true feeling.. Thank you Peter Drury!

"Its a goal, it is a goal

Bang on 90, those are moments

That is a massive moment

One deft touch from Eddie Nketiah

And by millimeters, Arsenal pull away again at the top"

With this Kiwi guy we signed from Spezia , I guess it means we’ve given up on Pablo Mari and will cash-in on him once any suitor comes around at the end of his loan at Monza

Yeah, Monza have an obligation to buy if they don't relegate and with the way things are going, they won't relegate

Yeah most likely.

I like this new Arsenal! We’ve learnt to count our losses and move on to other players that will bring immediate results . We’ve moved past the era when We will watch players like Bendtner , Aaron Ramsey, etc struggle for most of the season and when they have one or two bright moments we just use that to console ourselves till they go back to their normal selves .

I like the competitiveness Arteta’s time at Arsenal has brought us . Back in the days we will still be trusting the process of players like Pepe, Pablo Mari of turning out good ; nowadays nobody’s got time for that. cool

Yeah, I think that's arsenal and the board's plan— to buy players who can actually compete with the first 11 and not just being 2nd choice. Anyone who isn't up to standard will be shipped off.

That's the competitiveness that's making us great and I'm really glad we're getting all these kinda players young and without actually breaking the banks

See how simple Trossad made that attack? Martinelli would have been dressing the ball and making stupid decisions that would cost us that attack.

I don’t know what his problem is, I am refusing to believe it has everything to do with Jesus’s absence.

It's not a coincidence that his loss of form happened after Jesus's injury.

Many of us are making the mistake of comparing Martinelli with Saka or even with Trossard as some of us have already started doing.

Martinelli is not your typical winger-chance creator. He is purely a goal scorer. He is similar to Aubameyang playing on the LW. Just as Auba needed a Lacazette to create space and chances for him, Martinelli needs GJ. And boy what a friend he has in Jesus.

Nketiah is not going to do that for anyone. He is a poacher himself and always has eyes for goals. Martinelli will struggle to play with Nketiah, while Nketiah will love to play with Trossard and Saka besides him and with Xhaka and Odegaard behind him.

I believe Martinelli's future is in the middle or in a front two.

What did Guardiola teach Kompany and Xavi? They were just players that played under him and that's where it stops. It's Just like Ndidi or Iheanacho becoming coach in the nearest future and someone somewhere lumping them with with Kolo Toure as Brendan Rogers' protege. We all know It's Kolo Toure that understudy Rogers while Iheanacho & Ndidi are just players who played under him.
Both Xavi and Kompany played their best football under Pep. Just as Xhaka is under Arteta.

Have you seen all three in their dressing room talks? It's all Pep vibes.

My question is very simple and direct ; What did Guardiola teach Kompany and Xavi as far as coaching is concerned ?

Is it just team talks as u are alluding now or there’s something else we don’t know and u are privy to ?

What are you saying really?

If someone coached you it means you learnt from him. You do not have to be his assistant to learn. By the way, assistants are not the real learners. Assistants are not there to learn but to assist. The actual learners are the players.

Xavi plays tiki taka pattern, same as Kompany- a pattern they can o ly attribute to Pep. So what's your point really?

Which kind talk needs this ? We have so many players taught by great coaches and are shitty coaches themselves now. ( I don’t even have strength to start mentioning them )

This is the post I countered . Guardiola was the coach of Kompany and Xavi but was never the coach of Arteta at any point in time. Now someone lumps all 3 of them together because they are topping their respective leagues and claimed Guardiola taught them well.

As far as available data is concerned , Arteta was an apprentice under Guardiola who learnt under him and doing well for himself . Kompany and Xavi on the hand we’re just players who played under guardiola at different times . If u have any data that suggests Guardiola tutored Kompany and Xavi beyond being their coach , please bring it to the fore .

Players learn from their coaches. Can you dispute this?

Any coach that refers a ball playing goalkeeper and es from the back is a Pep prodigy. If they happen to ever play under him, then they obviously learnt it directly.

But this thing is simple.

Only Arteta was an apprentice (assistant) to Pep amongst the three. It was under Pep he had the opportunity to learn player management, tactical analysis, one on one with players and all that. That's something Kompany and Xavi didn't experience. Moreover, Kompany and Xavi played under different coaches before and after Pep. Why then is it Pep that they're lumping all of them to?
Why not Del Bosque for Xavi?
Why not Wenger for Arteta?

I sha get the fact that the person who wrote that thing just wan catch cruise tho grin

You don start with this your postulations and theories again 😒

The way you're saying it, someone will think Martinelli just exploded this season. Was Jesus here last season when Martinelli played beautifully?
Was Jesus here previous seasons when guys were hoping on Martinelli to come back from injury since he's one of our best wingers?

Suddenly "Jesus of this season" Is the one making Martinelli to shine. Suddenly Martinelli is just like Auba angry

Suddenly, Nketiah will love to play with Trossard and not Martinelli. Same Martinelli that shone with Nketiah at the back end of last season.

Please, with all due respect, did you actually proof read what you wrote before pressing submit?? undecided

I correctly begining of this season when Saka wasn't really explosive even when we're playing beautifully. Guys here were blaming Saka and some was even suggesting he should be benched. I ed saying that Saka will come good as he's good now that, that's how he started slowly last season before he exploded. Now we're all enjoying the benefits as Saka have finally found his game again. Same thing with Odegaard

Now, it's Martinelli's turn of being off form and we're out again with "he should be benched for Trossard"?

Sometimes we forget that this guys are young boys and that they can have some off form for days (even ranging to weeks) which is perculiar to young players. It's up to the coach to work back on them and help them regain their confidence while playing them and not just benching them. Only when it's been prolonged can one think of even benching them

Martinelli is young. He's one of the people that made arsenal in this position they are now. He's just going through a phase as every youngster does (sometimes making wrong decisions and all as he's doing presently). It's up to the coach to ensure he doesn't remain in that phase not just giving up on him because we have Trossard. This is human beings we're dealing with here not FIFA or PS4 game that we'll just bench a player and put another one because of some off form.

Abeg o, Make we say na Martinelli we dey talk about here. This is Someone that is very very talented and we all know he got it.
