Hello house.
My Honda accord 2013 has a milky colour gear fluid when drained because the car stopped accelerating. My mechanic said water entered the gear fluid and I hardly drive the car. What could be wrong.
PS: I replaced the gear oil this July.

You can use Dexron III or Motorcraft Mercon V. But I hear the ATF in Peugeot last quite a long time so I advice you first inspect the oil in your tranny. If it's looking black, then go ahead and change it.

Ensuring there are no leakages in the Tranny Tubes is also a good troubleshooting checklist in most car models.

The intercooler (aka the transmission radiator) might have a leak inside and thereby allowing coolant mix with the trans fluid.

Check your oil level. If ok, check if the oil is smelling burnt or has changed colour. It should be pink.

The last oil change I believe wasn't original because no serial number on it.
The oil level is okay but the color is black.
I change today after series of market survey to get non cleanable number.
After driving around I still notice the pick change to eggplant colour [color=#550000][/color]
I guess I have to change my filter and oil again.
The slipping thing stopped.
After the trip I'll change the filter. Please where's your office in Abuja?

The correct fluid for your model is Toyota ATF WS.

Oh ok. I will suggest another round of drain and refill with original T-IV. The colour of the fluid in the transmission should be close to pink as possible. If the slipping disappears but the error is still present, clear and ignore.

Please help me. I just got a Nissan primera 1996 model with 2.0l engine. The gear slip and also load slow when engaged.

Please which gear oil should be used for a 2004 Honda EOD?

I'm a novice and I bought the car 31st December, first week of January i gave the mechanic i was linked to Money to change Engine oil, filters, and gear oil too.
Now I don't know which particular oil he put for the gear but i noticed that when i slow down to climb speed bumps or to stop for traffic the car Jerks once before it enters that lowest gear.
What should i do please

1) Pls how can one know the original Total ATF WS gear oil ?

And how much is it?

2) Pls what is gear tapping?
