Good morning All

Please I was trying to make booking for my biometric Last night and the only available date I got was 30th December for prime time which I paid for my spouse and i.

Is there a way to do walk in before that day and do my biometric?

Also my pof will expire soon , I have paid and submitted my visa and iHS applications. Should I be less worried about oanda rate


Can I takeout my pof since we are not even close to 30th and run the POF again from the 30th when application review starts.


Please can someone just clarify so I get the best option not to resume January late.

Step 1: discuss with the boys mum on your intention and proceed to court to get your custody arrangements.They could grant you sole custody and the mum visiting rights if it is uncontested.

Step 2: Gather ing documents 1. Court order 2. Sons birth certificate 3.Mums consent letter and ID(port, driver's license,NIN or Voter's cars)
4. Evidence that you have been responsible for his upbringing (Hospital letter, school letters, receipts/invoices of fees or medical bills paid by you, any evidence of travels you have done together)
5. Pictures
6. Any other additional documents you can provided, the evidence are numerous

I want to start my testimony half way already.

After much forth and back with school,;

Got CAS finally on Dec 15th

Visa Application submitted fully Dec 16th

Dependant visa application submitted Dec 17th

Biometric appointment Dec 20th at Ikeja TLS

Priority service

Application moved to DMC Dec 20th

Application received by DMC Dec 21st

Update.

Sent paid mail after 6th work day without a decision on 31st Dec

UKVI responded on Jan 3rd that's it's awaiting a decision and escalated as target period for priority has ed

Got an NSF today at 10am saying more time is needed to decide my application.

Please I'm really disturbed about this issue. For me, I did my nysc 2014/2015 and have worked since April 2016. Although I'm yet to apply for visa but I'm just curious about being asked to provide employment letter. My ission is against May 2023. My monthly paycheck is not enough to fund my studies and to make matters worse the company didn't give me employment letter.

Do you think the study gap is too much for the UKVI to ask me to provide an employment letter and incase they do, what do you think i should do? I'm really troubled.

Most people say reference letter is enough but I'm wondering why they may have asked the guy who graduated since 2007 to provide an employment letter. Did he not provide any reference letter in the first place.

You have over 5 years study gap so please prepare like you would be asked

You have to include relevant work documents (Employment, Confirmation, Promotion letters etc)

Check with your company and confirm what they can provide,you have enough time to gather those documents for May 2023 session

When you talk about including relevant work documents like employment, confirmation, promotion letters), I have a few concern. The company I work for does not give its employees any of these. its a private owned business with a poor management structure( the owner does what he likes). Like I said earlier my pay check is not encouraging and I read here sometime ago where you advised someone not to make use of an employment letter with a meagre salary as it puts one at a disadvantage.

The company pays its workers by transfers which is also a problem incase one is asked to provide payslips. I'm asking if one can get something like confirmation of employment from the HR that clearly states your job start date, job role, and maybe any other relevant information but excluding the salary amount. Do you think this can in anyway serve as what they need to make a decision?

I'm just being curious. Someone here said he was just asked to provide an employment letter after submitting reference letter which he did but the other was asked to provide a whole lot of documents, payslips /employment letters with contract details / bank statement with regular salary being deposited/ employment contracts. is he expected to provide all of these or just one of them? Does a slash in this case mean AND or OR?

I don't really know why some of the establishments in Nigeria don't give its workers employment letter.
