Typically, before you can be issued a certificate of sponsorship (COS) by your potential employer. You must have been offered employment in the UK which meets the minimum pay for immigrants.

On accepting the offer, you go through some screening which varies amongst employers. Every employer/organization have specific onboarding activities which varies from background checks, filling of forms, g some agreements etc.

You are expected to also have prove your knowledge of English language, TB test results (All this have been stated in the first post).

Once you submit all the necessary documents to your employer, they will start processing your COS. You don't have to do anything else but wait patiently till they send it to you. Once you receive the COS, you quote the COS ref number on your visa application.

I checked on government.uk what I saw was 285pounds.
The question is, will that 285pounds be in multiplicity of number of years on MA applicant visa or is it just 285 pounds only for the dependant partner as POF?

I applied to two schools and got an offer from one, so I quickly put in for my tb test and the certificate bears the address of the school. Few days after, the other school made me an offer and the deposit is more affordable than the former. I already paid the deposit for the later but the TB test certificate still has the address of the former, do I need to iom for change in address or I can still tender it as it is?

And then, I need a list of the document required for my Visa application.

If MA is on a five years work visa....and dependents wants to go ...is it a must they must apply for 5 years as well?? Can the dependents apply for 3years and leave the UK after expiration or even lesser than the 3years??

Please if the maintenance in COS is certified yes for individual candidate only, does it cover the family as well?

Under mandatory documents, there is a request to show the evidence of Main applicant permission to enter or stay in the UK. MA application hasn't been submitted yet as we want to submit together.
All these have to be ticked before we proceed with the application.


Mandatory documents
The port or travel document for dependent from Nigeria

Other documents
Evidence of main applicant's permission to enter or stay in the UK. For example, a copy of the page of s port showing their visa if issued or permission to stay if already in the UK.

Letter of consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s)
A letter of consent that confirms:
the relationship between you and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s)
consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the application
consent from your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) to the living arrangements in the United Kingdom and the address where you will be staying
whether one or both of your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have responsibility for you
Both parents/legal guardians must sign the letter of consent, except where only one parent/legal guardian has sole responsibility for you.

The birth certificate for dependent, unless provided in a previous successful application as a dependant
Change Documents.
