Doesn't really work that way. My second application took more than 16 weeks. The first one took about 9-10 weeks. Just pray for a quick response.

It may be hard to find universities to do your MSc. Why not go for colleges instead? Just go for a PGD program. There are lots of schools (colleges) you can apply to.

That’s not true . Nothing of such is on Cic website , on their site dey wrote atleast 6months validity and they won’t give visa more dan d validity date on a port . Let’s say for instance ur 8mnths validity pp gets stamped d validity date on d visa wudnt be more dan d 8mnths . 3mnths to d expiry date of d pp , it’s advisable u present a new pp where new visa for d duration of ur stay wud be stamped ….
To avoid all these stress , if u can renew ur pp now den go ahead and do it , so that u can use it for ur visa processing instead .

I have a lot of space as this is my first time applying to leave the country...am just worried about the time limit and what was said here that your port has to be valit till the duration of time you will stay in Canada if not they won't stamp it... That's my fear.

He could try writing to the school. They may reconsider since he's gotten his port request letter. On the other hand, the issue with his port's expiry date is quite tricky. IRCC always advises students to have ports that will cover the entire duration of their study. The port is the least of his problems for now. He should try writing to the school.

So basically he doesn't have any ission to the school & the earliest slot he can apply to is Fall next year. By then his port would've expired.

This is a very delicate situation. And if he applies for another program or to another school, he'd have to apply for the study permit all over. Hmmm!

He could try ing IRCC. I'm not sure if submitting his port to VFS is actually a great move. Maybe other gurus on the platform can chip in on this matter.

port submission is free if go to same location you did your biometrics. They go charge you 28k I think if you go to another location other where you did you biometrics.

This info can be misleading. port submission is only free if you're submitting to where you did your biometrics AND if it's your first application since your biometrics.

If your first application was refused & the second one accepted, you must pay the #9410 package transmission fee regardless of where you submit. It doesn't make sense but it is what it is!

Would you advice she leaves the funds with her or should she transfer it to her Nigerian ?. And if she is transferring, does doing a lump sum close to the application time look bad, or should she start now and start transferring over a period of time monthly?
Generally, what should someone who has a foreign sponsor do about POF ?

I think it'll be hard for you to justify sponsoring yourself alone. First off, it will seem like you're spending your whole life savings and the visa officer may question the authenticity of your source of funds based on your salary and years of experience.

I think maybe you can ask your friend to send the money to your parents, then ask your parents to transfer the money to you as a gift deed. That way, your parents don't have to show their own bank statement.

That way you can strengthen your parents as home ties and you can say that they will help you with any other additional expenses.

Just something to think about. Again, wait for opinions from others and do some more research. There are other online forums you can get advice from as well.

I don't recommend you outright lying to IRCC. For every claim you make, you will need to have evidence to back it up. It's better to omit certain information than to outright lie to them. They really hate being lied to.

Let her mention it her own sponsorship letter that she transferred so so amount in ur acct
When you are credited let her name be the narration of it
