I am not a solar pump specialist but for a more detailed you need to furnish more information on the brand & model of your solar pump. And a more detailed error code. You can snap the error code and spec sheet on the side of the pump. Also, you can google the error code.

lolz, the prices of things now eeh grin.. btw i have a 24v 230ah 5888kwh lifepo4 lithium battery ( real capacity and made with brand new grade A EVE cells ) in a sleek metal box with 120A bms going for 780k.

Yea, prices are really high, even the cheaper options are expensive.

Incase you want to edit the float voltage for lithium batteries (people usually set bulk and float at same voltage for lithium)

Oh.. that's true

Many thanks for your input, appreciated.

Truth is I don't know exact brand that would be used for the set-up. Below is snapshot of info on two variants. Should I want to go the route of DIY, what are the good components/brands I need to look out for?

The flyer is beautiful but the only thing that looks reassuring there is the quanta batteries mentioned in the list, we don't know what other brands would be used and I am scared about how much would remain from the 900k quoted after the cost of two quanta batteries (about 400k) are deducted. That's around 500k left, you'll spend around 100k or slightly higher for 300+Watts s (the ones that can get you moderate harvest) that's about 400k gone or slightly lower if you go for some fair brands. Wires should cost from 25k and above depending on to setup distance. How about accessories and other appendages, then how about their profit or is it for charity?

The Quanta batteries specifically mentioned in the flier even makes it tough to accept the quote. Like I said they could get it done with cheaper materials but even with that there'll still be some heavy compromise hidden somewhere.

NB: there's nothing wrong with cheap setups if they're not fatal and are done based on budget while still maintaining some level of standard and are used within their true capacity.

On the question of what to look out for, everything !

But if you're working on a budget, you could deliberately tone down some parts of your setup, for example. You could go for midrange batteries (and drastically reduce your night loads) while hoping to replace them in about two years or so but go for top class s because those are what would be the major source of power, or you could buy top class panes but reduce their number your if you family is the type that leaves home by 7am and returns by 6pm and you don't have daytime loads etc etc. But while doing these, you're also keeping in mind to the standard setup.
I hope you understand me a bit?

It's actually 80w from my measurement and I've maximum confident in it ( small but has mighty power).
The wattage of transformer based inverter generally is high. Once your battery bank is properly sized, you have less time to bother about things like this.
I was majorly concerned about adjustable charging features, lvd, lfd compatibility and it has all these.

80Watts ?! On felicity too?
Which specification is that, the 5kVA ?

Yes, I understand the needs you've stated and they're valid, as long as the battery bank can cater for it, no problem. I personally always try to reduce consumption / loss from every means possible if possible.

I will recommend you get a 24v 3.5kva SRNE Hybrid inverter with a built-in MPPT (150v). A 3.5kva should be able to handle all your current & future loads (deep freezer) and with a built-in MPPT saves you the cost of buying a separate charge controller. SRNE is also a good brand with an authorized dealer in Lagos for your warranty issues. But dollar prices are going up so you may need to adjust your budget a little. Mr Ugo below for a quote. For solar s, i recommend you get Yingli solar s from their dealer in Lagos. A 380W or 450W should be okay for your setup (8 pieces). Yingli solar s are budget friendly and far more reliable than those nameless chinese s that are flooding the market.

Is this transformer based or high frequency hybrid ?

Also, how did you measure the power factor ?

Thanks.

....
Famicare really suprised me,as their 3.5kva 24v my bro bought has an idle consumption of 18 watts! Which is even better than my axpert 3kva. Also its power factor is about 0.95 (yea we measured) an impressive feat considering most Indian low freq inveter are pf 0.8.

It has a transformer, so low frequency. I measured the loads that the inverter can carry simultaneously

I don't think the yohako CC is bad. That is if it's really mppt. Infact I prefer it to makeskyblue. The major mistake you made is buying a 5kw 24v instead of 48v. Hope your cables are minimum 35mm2 or higher? Get solar flood lights that charge and come on @ night. You can monitor your CC and know the highest watts you have gotten from your installed capacity before changing your SCC.

Hi abeg no vex. I just installed a 5kva 24v famicare inverter with 4 12v 220AH batteries yesterday. Please how long does the first charge take and how will I know the batteries are fully charged? The battery indicator in the LCD is full and has stopped flashing BUT the yellow charging lamp is still blinking. Thank you

The price is #235k for the 3.3kva, and I've gotten it today as I was made aware that the price will be going up soon anytime from tomorrow.

thanks for the recommendation... @ samir101ng

Can you share specification of the inverter? Are you sure it's hybrid inverter?

I'm not the owner of said inverter as it belongs to my bro. Just asked him and he said the yellow indicator stops blinking but still remains on, likewise the battery indicator stops the filling animation on the display. It'll be wise to invest on a battery monitor (with a shunt) to stop second guessing.

I would need this for like 17 hours daily, say between 1pm to 6am.

What components do I need for the 2.5KVA set-up that would fit into the 900k budget. Can still stretch to 1m though.

Sorry for the plenty questions, am a novice on the subject matter.

Thanks
