Really? I've gone through a number of threads by locals in British Columbia and Ontario who have lived in Vancouver, Ottawa or Toronto and rural areas. They always say that life is boring in rural areas compared to main cities, and it's harder to find doctors.

Maybe that's not the case for Quebec? It's either that or they're just trying to lure immigrants with those claims

Same here, my ission was expired and I was unable to defer it, because it was conditional issionletter. But thanks God I applied to 2 University when I applied for ission, so I quickly change to university of saskatchewan, that allow defer, and the next 2 weeks I recieve a medical request

You can beg them that you dont want to lose the opportunity of your study visa because it is sure for you by His grace. Ask then if you can have another course. Dont change DLI now please.

Do I need a transit visa if my flight would layover in the US for 2hrs 55mins? I am going to Toronto, Canada with a student visa.

You need a US visa to transit through USA. I don’t know about transit visa, its the usual B1/B2 visitor/tourist visa that people use and dates are not even available for interviews until 2023/2024 unless you through an agent who has access.

If you booked a refundable flight, i would advice you seek refund and rebook another airline.

Avoid USA if you don’t have a US visa
Avoid 2 stops in EU (Europe ) you would need a transit visa for this too.

Book flights that only stop in one other country.

Eg Ethiopian airline
Egypt Air
Lufthansa(Check the route some through US).

My God, I applied for the transit visa (C1) today by filling the DS160 form. I then checked for available interview dates and it's Nov 2024 upwards . Omo, I don mail their Lagos office to ask if I really need an interview, that my layover is just 2hrs...waiting for their response.

What you saw online is true. You need an interview. An agent maybe able to get a close date this year but the charge over N200k to N250k plus.

Get a refund for your KLM ticket book another airline.

You cant land in USA for a minute without a US visa.
Infact, KLM wont allow you board that flight from Nigeria.

Go the KLM office and ask directly.

There is also a doctor shortage in the regions here, but there is a doctor shortage everywhere in QC. They are trying to fill these shortages, including with immigration (of both actual doctors and students).

I think study permit processing in nigeria is really unfair, someone I know gain ission to university of saskatchewan for fall intake, and for study permit applied since June. Last month ircc just message her for medical request... and her course is not available for winter intake.... either she applied to another school for winter intake or she reapply to the same school which will lead to may intake

Better she reapplied for may intake if it’s available.. changing dli isn’t her best bet for now

If u scroll up u wud see som1 said u shd avoid 2 layovers in Europe cos it wud require transit visa … inasmuch u will only be stopping in I don’t think u wud need transit visa den cos it’s not two layovers .
And sumtym ago ppl dat had stopover in uk or holland said there’s no need for transit visa that u won’t even step out of the airline , d plane wud only refuel and take off from there. stopover cud also be the same .. maybe u shd check on google or ask klm directly if transit visa will be needed for dat

Please I'm a civil servant and I plan to apply for fall 2023 specifically to Memorial university.(my friend and roomie from school lives at Newfoundland and asked me to apply there)

I read Bsc Business Management 2007 and a PGD in Education from NTI 2009( I doubt if I go fit get the transcript of the PGDE). Thereafter I taught in few schools before I got a government job in 2013. I plan to go for Msc Curriculum Learning and Teaching.

My job description is related to education as I handle voter education and training.

I intend getting a sponsor (my maternal uncle) as govt won't sponsor me and I won't save enough before then to meet the required POF even though I can pay my tuition.
Note: I'm married and my husband will later me after my Visa approval as I've read here.

I would not mind if any guru here can guide me through the process as application is on-going now at MUN and also our successful applicants over there, come guide your sister as I have some questions to ask since you already enjoying the reality of our own dreams �.
