I missed the part of the meal was small I'm not a big fan of big food.
My mom made me chop belly full but now that I'm on my own, I control my eating. I have to leave space for warm apple pie and coconut vanilla beans ice cream

All night ? That is too much. It may be the reason for the sourness. The longest I soak a cup or two of beans was 20 minutes.

10 to 15 minutes is fine.

I don't soak mine, I only sprinkle little water on it before I start washing.

3 minutes is ok.
If it exceeds that,it becomes soggy when pounding to bring the skin out.

40 cups of beans,that's the maximum I soak.
In other to retain the nutrients.
