Goodevening everyone. There's this mercedes benz sprinter 2005 in my care, we recently changed the engine from a diesel engine to petrol. We drove it briefly and we've parked it since.

Pls, I need a very good mechanic who knows how work on it as I've been given a deadline to resuscitate it back.

Could anyone recommend a specialist pls?

My specialist converted a G-wagon from diesel to petrol and car is still moving well for over a year now.

One of my customer just notified me that Liqui Moly 5w40 Molygen he got from me in June has knocked his W203 C230engine. I am in shock but there are lessons to learn from this which is why i decided to share here.

Once you tell me you have been using 20w50 for more than 6 months i dont sell Liqui Moly to you because i know it will smoke and might damage the engine.But this customer said he has been using Mobil 1 5w30..the imported one. So i said okay no issues same synthethic blend(i was wrong)

This was the reason behind the knock not the change of oil per say.

He probably took longer than expected b4 he had a change of oil.

There is a time frame or window for oil change.

The beauty of Mercedes Benz is that it indicates when oil level needs a top up and when viscosity is low which in other words needs an oil change.

He probably did not pay attention to the warning signs as indicated in his instrument cluster, continued driving thereby knocking the engine on low viscosity. Simple.

E get one period wey e tight for my side and I couldn't have a change of oil for about 6 months using the liquid Molly, bros "low viscosity" flashed on my dashboard ooh... That was the first time I saw such warning... Omo I use pikin school fees that very day oooh Dem no dey tell person. Las Las the child is alright, I can't afford new engine now abeg.

if it isn't a misfire, then your propeller is a likely culprit...

You need a scanner that can read live data

If it was the spark sounds that made you change the plugs, then it's obviously your ignition-coils that are bad.
If the spark sounds started after changing the plugs, then do further testing to ascertain which of the ignition coil/ wire harness are bad.

I need help to choose btw ml350 2015 and gl450 2013/2015.
The only reason I am interested in the gl450 is because it's a 7 seater otherwise I have always wanted the ml.
Please is there any other advantage the gl has over the ml?

I’m about 5 months ito ownership of a MY09 GL450.

I never considered the ML. If you have specific questions let me know. I’m actually shopping for a naija used GL550 to use as a daily driver,

Aswear i know this sound and can relate 100%. Try use thicker oil weight it would go away. I used ceratec and mine went away.

You can use the original Benz 5W40 oil too

Take out the sensor and test it. An ohms test.

Poured the whole content after I changed the oil and cranked. Engine was as smooth as a babies bum.Used to hear grinding sound for 3 secs previously after start.Now no more
