The Federal Government through the National Universities Commission has ordered vice-chancellors to re-open schools and allow students resume lectures.

This was made known in a letter signed by the Director, Finance and s of the NUC, Sam Onazi, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the commission, Professor Abubakar Rasheed.

The letter which was made exclusively available to The PUNCH on Monday was addressed to all vice-chancellors; Pro-Chancellors and chairmen of governing councils of federal universities.

“Ensure that ASUU immediately resume/commence lectures; Restore the daily activities and routines of the various University campuses”, the letter partly reads.

immediately the other lecturers teach for one month and receive salary, while the striking lecturers lazying at home don’t receive salaries, the striking lecturers will start running back into classrooms in droves to teach and also get paid

Bacs go teach all the students but wait o...VCs never close the universities, ASUU did.

If the government was sincere, the strike might not have been protracted but now, they just wasted students' years over what they would later do.

This thing is Govt is not sincere in their negotiations. ASUU should consider, the negotiations can go on while lectures continues the students have really suffered.

Tho it's quite unfortunate am alone of the students affected by the strike, am suppose to a graduate now, cuz this is my last semester.
