I got ission and a partial funding in the US. Peradventure I won the PTDF scholarship (God's willing) before visa interview, can I include it as proof of funds?

If UK or FGM areas is explicitly stated on the award letter, then obviously you can not use it as a proof of funds for your US issions or visa application.

Please I just want to confirm if a prospective PTDF scholarship applicant is supposed to secure ission to any picked course/schools from the PTDF recommended options or the PTDF secure the slots down already for would-be scholarship beneficiaries.

Bro, quickly go and apply now if you have not yet done so before it's too late. It's a must to apply ahead unless you want to defer your ission till later. PTDF only give sponsorship s . They don't give ission offers.

USA is very expensive for international students so PTDF stopped it.
If you win, you can tender your USA offer and tell PTDF you have partial funding. You might be accepted as PTDF will save cost.

All those listed UK schools have discounted tuition fees for PTDF scholars.

Don't depend on PTDF. Plan another way. Don't allow the partial funding opportunity to go. You can work part time during term time and full time during the holiday.

The downside of USA is that as spouse of a student, you are banned from working or studying. So your partner cant you. This is unlike UK in which a student dependant can work and/or study full time.

Thank you for the advice. I just want to convince the visa officer that I am not depending solely on the scholarship.

Ptdf award has nothing to do with ur spouse! However, if you eventually get selected by DAAD, they will give u some documents to ur wife and children's visa application at the German Consulate in Lagos but the final visa approval lies with the German Consulate, which DAAD can not influence!

Not at all. Even for UK too, it is still the same. However, the advantage of UK is that your wife can work full time.

University of Derby is not but I know some PTDF scholars who went there. I think PTDF accepts any accredited university in the UK

I Will make more applications especially in the field of Environmental sciences which I selected for PTDF scholarship and Uni of Liverpool was my first choice

Although I have up to 3 offers of ission to study MSC Public Health in the UK( Uni. of Aberdeen, Brunel uni. London, and Queen Margaret uni). I am not sure PTDF will accept any of them in case I don't meet up.
