You are right. However, my point is that the Nigerian environment may not be as patriotic as some of the leading economies today who committed and are still committing several atrocities just to have the edge over others economically. They deliberately avoid cannibalizing their own corporations, and even align their mainstream media to do major image laundering and propaganda for their nation’s good. That way they maintain the superiority of their interests and ideology even if negatively impactful to others. Nigeria and Nigerians need to learn how not to wash their dirty linens in the public domain because image is everything in the international and business community. I hope this doesn’t affect flutterwave international ratings and partnerships eventually. GreyLaw: |

This is pure rubbish, it might be from inability to heavily tax the dear company. Africans and their shit. Money stolen by our politicians to white countries are known to whites at stolen money. They just don't care |

The financial companies from the Western world are behind this defamation. You guys should know that some Africans have stop using Western Union and MoneyGram for means of transactions which on the long-run as affected these companies. The Europeans gave us independence to be independent but refused to give us the financial freedom to be fully independent. The white man is behind this bullshit against Flutterwave.

It is like someone buying credit from their bank for someone else, there is no way to track who send it, if you ask the Telco they also can't tell... Unfortunately banking has rules and regulations ... Although I believe in this case , all the regulator need is to have access to their books, I don't want people jumping to conclusions without investigations. Iyin has been a pivot in the tech space and shouldn't be roast on social media.

thebosstrevor1:They are about forfeiting the funds and you are talking about fines. For carrying out transactions below the threshold, its a serious red flag for any serious regulatory body. 1 Like |

DrChukki: You're not the only beneficiary. I was going mad over my inability to use my Naira debit card to buy things online. I even got a GTB dollar card and still no show. I even got a US PayPal which worked to a certain extent but my mind was never at ease when using it. Barter.me was the game changer. I doubt this setback can kill the company. At the worst, the chief 3xecutives and board of directors may be replaced. It would also be a lesson to them not to do business the Nigerian way when overseas. 2 Likes |

Romanoff: Any Fintech of Flutterwave can actually fall victim. Sometimes as tech people we have no idea what our inventions might be used for. As a payment gateway, clean and dirty people would use Flutterwave for payment solutions. Perhaps, tech people who operate such platforms need to strengthen their capacities to detect and report suspicious transactions to relevant authorities. |

[quote author=GeneralPula post=114505731] I don’t think it’s their fault.. I think it’s the people using their platform to run illegal..Flutterwave can’t be transferring millions of dollar from one to the other with keeping records and authorities knowing the purpose of transaction before hand. |
