Congratulations to all the latest mothers in the house... pls I have a question o.I went for my baby 6weeks immunisation today and I just got home now and curiosity made me check the card where they do tick the vaccines given and I noticed they didn't tick the Rota1 part and these guys in the hospital didn't tell me anything ( I use airforce hospital Abuja).pls is it that Rota virus vaccine is taken during 10weeks and not 6weeks or the hospital didn't have and didn't tell us or its not important pls help me.

The nurses are in the best position to answer you and set your mind at ease, please return to them and ask. Waiting for later might not be good to avoid confusion.

Eat proteinous food like liver, egg white,ugu leaf( not cooked),locust been,moi-moi buy blood tonic and take if possible don't skip ur routine drugs prescribed from anti-natal.

Make ugu leaf your friend,some say dey cook and drink the water,be using it to eat ur rice nd yam etc..
Anything vegetable will boost ur blood...

Maybe they don't have the Rota that's why dey didn't tick,check how many vaccine that was given when u were there..

Again @ 10weeks u can still take Rota ..

Sis, that Rota vaccine isn't free o. There's a cost to it that's why most govt hospital don't ister it. If am not lying, it costs about 5k if not more.
When I had my first baby in 2019, some Mama's discussed it that's when I first heard that it's not free in Most Nigerian hospitals. When my baby wasn't given, I didn't freak out because I already heard about it on this thread.
Go to the new born babies thread, I'm sure your question will be properly answered.

Rota is very expensive. In my Hospital then, mothers were required to officially request for it one week in advance. That was 2020. Can't the exact cost. Whether 9k or 19k. If you don't mention it, the nurses won't mention it either. Its not compulsory but if one has the funds, its good to take it.

Please mamas, is it possible to fall sick not quite long after taking anti malaria drug that they give at antenatal? Been feeling so sick since today and I haven’t felt my baby kick much, I’m worried though i intend going to the hospital tomorrow morning..

You'll lay baby down and move his legs like he is riding a bicycle...
Your swollen feet will go down though it may take time.. My legs did not swell in pregnancy until I gave birth, it took time but now it's totally gone..

When did you take the drugs, perhaps its the one making you feel that way.. If its been some days you took it before feeling this way, you might need to get some tests done to be sure of what's wrong

The infacol did not work for me. Colic dealt with my baby ehh,that I was so stressed because of sleeplessness. Thank God, we are over it now. He is 7 months.
