I have always traveled to UK through Edinburgh airport cos my family were based in Scotland and i schooled there too . I'm planning to use Heathrow airport for the first time, don't have any families in the UK anymore they moved to Canada.

I'm travelling to UK as a tourist with 2 kids and we will spend 4 weeks but in our visa application form i stated 7 days, will this affect us at Heathrow airport ? i never had issues at Edinburgh airport was never even asked how long i plan to stay - not an issue at all. You can stay as long as your visa has not expired

I have heard a lot about London Heathrow and want to go prepared . I also made arrangements for a short term vacation rental for 4 weeks cos i will need to cook and be more comfortable as i have minors, so this means I'm not going to the address stated on visa application and i even had to change travel date as the cost on British airways was very expensive for the date i filled on visa application, i moved travel date to a less expensive date in July and our return date is in August - it's fine. Plans change all the time. If anyone asks you at immigration, you say the truth. You need to have space and the freedom to cook etc hence your own private arrangement for accomodation.

1. will it be an issue that we changed the length of stay in London form 7 days to 4 weeks? - not at all. My kids have stayed for two months with no issues. And the length of stay in their forms were much shorter.
2. will change of address also be an issue ? - No. Again, say the truth when and if you are asked why you plan to stay somewhere else
3. must we have prove of accommodation printed? the flat we will be staying belongs to my husband's child hood friend , we can provide address but no booking evidence cos we will pay him directly ? what will you suggest we do? - Not necessary. Just ensure you know the address cos if you are asked, you should be able to answer that question immediately.

Anybody had Biometric here since like April 29 and still awaiting a decision?

even if you add your salary bank statement, it can only justify salary payments, if you can't explain or categorize other Inflows showing in the bank statement (s), they will give another refusal reasons. Any income asides salary as an employed applicant needs to be explained.

Please I'm employed and have my bank statement and payslips which can prove the flow of my salary, however, I'm also into petty businesses (Airtime, Data, Electricity etc) which I didn't with the CAC but transaction flows in my bank statement too. My question is how do I prove/justify this, since it's not a ed business?

This UK wait time is rubbish. Imagine January applicant still waiting whereby someone who did bio in May has received their travel document. Everything about them is money. I regret paying so much for visa fee. I should have opted for somewhere else for vac. I hate when someone keeps me waiting. And they still do priority for visit visa. The visa is about who get money . To book appointment- payment, to request status paid mail, everything is paid. I dey frustrate abeg

1. Nope. As long as your visa is still valid and you are not exceeding the stipulated duration per visit, you are good to go.
2. Nope. Former accommodation may no longer be available ( for reasons out of your control) or a preferred accommodation becomes available later, you can change at anytime before you board the plane.
3. Yes. I always have a print out its very important. If you were lost or need help with direction that's even what will come to your aid fast.
Hubby's friend should write a short note informing you (you and Children's names as in your ports should be included) of your rooms/apartment being ready and them awaiting your arrival on xyz date.
He should state direction on how you get to the accommodation from the airport. Then add his phone number (very important) for your use in case you need any further assistance locating the place. This can be an email from him which you print out. It's okay.

Paper based or Computer is upto you. If you are comfortable with using Systems why not. Bad handwriting will not be an issue.

If you book via British Council, you get free access to GEL IELTS which has all the materials you need to prepare. If you need some extra, check Playstore to more training apps.

Omo....I thought my case was the worst oh. Been waiting since March 15th. Finally I was able to send a paid mail last Friday only to be told that my case has been escalated to department handling the case. My take is that my application was abandoned else they would have provided usual response like... awaiting decision... decision has been made etc. But they rather told me to wait to be ed within 15 working days. Imagine!!! After 13 weeks already for something they gave an average of 6 weeks. It's frustrating really.

You can travel at a later date when ticket prices are reduced. All my travel plans are shifted to September/October for this reason.

How was your bank statement? Balance? Any large deposits besides your salary? Did you write any cover letter? I’m just scared because my statement is a mess & I didn’t write any cover letter to explain some deposits

Unused visa never an issue. I had two and never been an issue. Just proves you are not deperate to travel to the UK - which is actually a plus for you.

However, I am wondering if Virgin Atlantic does not have their own boarding requirements like negative PCR test etc. Their website didn't offer so much information on that. I really don't want to be caught off-guard by anything.
