Harlem22: @Harlem22 Start from the basics, understand data and the different data types, this would help with your data wrangling, understand the different types of problems you have to solve as a data scientist, supervised-were you have target label(regression, classification) and unsupervised learning-no target label(clustering, association, dimentionality reduction). An easy path to take could be, see yourself as data analyst first, learn and master microsoft excel, power bi/tableau and SQL and you should be able to land a gig as data analyst. From there you keep doing data science projects, there are lot and lots dataset for this on kaggle(vary your projects to cut across different areas e.g market basket analysis, recommending systems, churn, stock market prediction, email spam detection..Use this to build a portfolio, get a github profile. Learn python or R(python is used more in the industry). its easy to get overwhelmed by all this but creating a roap and taking it one at a time,is one of the ways dreams are achieved. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

claremont:I agree with you. These whole Rwanda saga is socked in Racism and discrimination simple….The 4 weeks war in Ukraine is no different from the over 10 years war in Iraq, Somalia, Eritrea, Yemen, Syria etc… However refugees are treated differently….. 2 Likes |

claremont: You are correct that FSC is not specifically stipulated in the Refugee Convention. However, under UK law the government is specifically empowered to remove to third countries asylum seekers who have ed through a safe country to reach the UK to claim asylum. Where this is somewhat unenforceable is on the basis that the asylum seekers of course will not say where they came through. So the Rwandan removal policy is not unlawful (which is why the courts could not strike it down on the grounds of legality). P.S. As a hard leftist [Corbynista] that you are, apart from taxation levels (which are not yet back to 1970s levels), surely you must have noticed that 2022 UK is not too far from a practical functioning Marxist paradise, there is very little of so-called conservatism in the bunch in Downing Street at the moment. |

Thank you quote author=Amarathripple0 post=113839523] Milton Keynes, Birmingham, Coventry are all close to Northampton. As per fair cost of living, that’s very relative. The influx of students have increased the cost of rent in most of these areas including Northampton. You can also explore the option of working remote as a customer service rep. [/quote] |

Please I need your advise guys.. I arrived in the UK in December 2021 on a student visa for an MSc in Financial Technology (January intake). My course ends April 2023. I have been working part time as a Care assistant for about 2 months. Now the care home is willing to sponsor me on a health and care visa if I want. I don’t want to apply for a post study visa as I see it as a risk and also a waste of time. Please can I switch to a skilled worker visa even before finishing my course in April 2023 or I have to wait 3 months to my course end date. The care home has agreed to station my shift in such a way that it won’t affect my studies even after I switch. |

Firstly, congrats. Do make your shift and start 5yrs ILR countdown. While at it, don't get complacent. FinTech holds promise. Anything and everything you can get from 'care' to further advance your FinTech career, pls do. Well, depending on your previous career! can I switch to a skilled worker visa even before finishing my course in April 2023 or I have to wait 3 months to my course end date. To answer, perhaps you might want to read this previous post here. Simply put, skilled worker visa does not stop you from studying, but understand the implications. semmyk: Pacypatty: Mashaunola: 3 Likes 1 Share |

Refund of IHS payment Good morning house i don't know if this is the right place to confirm this information. If not kindly direct me to the right group. pls i am trying to assist my friend working in health care to get refund of his ihs. i was told that when one work for six months one can apply for refund of ihs. i am trying to apply but is saying that if the application is successful it will be send to the bank or card used to pay the ihs. i am confused because my friend used his dollar and card from Nigeria to make payment. How can this be transferred to Nigeria ?? why not our here in the uk. how can one take the money since it will take years to go back home. please is there anybody in the health sector that has successfully applied? kindly put me through pls. see attached . Osoderi: Yes that is correct, the refund goes into the card with which you made the IHS payment. 1 Like 1 Share |

Irenenwaka: I know some one who travelled to Nigeria in November last year with an expired Nigerian port. This person also had a valid British port. This was when it was difficult to renew the Nigerian ports. I don't think they will allow that now since its easy to renew your ports at the moment. |

wanney: Pls assist with answers to the question above |
Ray7878: 2:34pm On Jun 16, 2022 |
wanney: We ( of interviewers) usually ask this question so that we can hurry up and decide if we want you or not. So I usually sit on a of 3, and we need to take time off to tally an applicant’s score after the interview. If an interviewer tells us that he or she has an interview somewhere else then we always try to offer them the role if they score high at the interview. This is to prevent them from taking up the other interview in most cases. 8 Likes |

Irenenwaka: We also travelled with expired ports for my kids in Dec. They have 2nd ports though. When immigration asked we said there’s no consulate near us plus Covid issues. Not sure what the situation will be now that things have eased off but your country can’t turn you away from entering. Las las you’ll be asked to pay for Visa on arrival which is what we expected but they let us go without qualms. 2 Likes |

My people, I am planning a trip from Scotland to London for my family just to refresh and rekindle energy in me that is almost depleted due to school works and settling down for past 6-7months. I saw reasonable flights through easy jet via Gatwick/Luton/Stansted but not sure which one of the 3 airports will fit into my plan that I can easily commute btw tourist destinations, cheap but safe accommodation (bnb in family oriented area) and back to airport. I have never been to London but looking forward to see places like London bridge that was falling down ![]() I will appreciate if I can get advice on areas to search for BnB based on listed plan above. Don’t forget I be JJC for London o ![]() ![]() ![]() 1 Like |
