That was then Oga. A very good o-level result is far better than first class this year. That is why everybody complain that the weight of o-level is too much. The determining factor is o-level now not class of degree.

I know of a lady that won it last year. She had 2.1 and luckily for her, she met her undergraduate project supervisor on her interview . She wasn't even asked any questions! She just dropped her credentials and that was it...

into the ptdf portal to update my location details the computer did not have a button to update my location for interview from PH to Enugu. Can I attend the interview in Enugu although I have gotten invite for Uniport with barcode? PTDF sent emails that Enugu location has been reopened. Please who has similar issue. (INCOUNTRY APPLICANTS)

Hmmm! I have heard a story like this too from one of the current awardees. That's where the factor of Divine favour comes into play. But overall, 1st class candidates have always carry the biggest percentage of winners.

I graduated with 2:1 and I won it 2019/2020 on the fourth attempt. To be sincere, O'level is important, it helped me.
Also, during our time, award was considered and I presented two awards.
That 2019/2020, First Class= 10marks, 2:1=8 marks, 2:2= 5 marks.

Nothing specific about first class honestly. It is just like someone with first class is more likely to do well in O level as well. It is the compounding effect

This kind of grace happens to ladies mostly. With just little effort, a lady can get the scholarship. But for men, hhmm you need to work extra hard.

On the fourth attempt, I changed direction to GFC(it was China the third Country during our time), because i discovered that majority of the gurus always want UK, so I left the UK for them(lolz). I am very sure that the changed of country then was one of the factors that helped me. UK is always competitive.
Your interview performance is also a huge factor to make the final list.
Abuja interview center is good,they are more friendly, I did my interview there(though not everyone can chose Abuja center). You ed that someone made mentioned of Abuja center few days ago.
Conclusively, God did it for me because one can only get what God has destined for him/her.

Truth is that irrespective of the center ehn, just pray for a favourable and considerable .

Some interview s for Abuja ehn, you go see shege too, although averagely overall na Abuja still dey helpful .

Because it is confusing. Assuming you got the two, you would pick OSS and leave LSS while blocking someone chance who would have been shortlisted for LSS interview.

Exactly. It makes me laugh when I see some calculations. But I feel like everyone should know. Ptdf selection is far far away than they think.

To all those that will get the scholarship, congratulations in advance and to have fun .

I have a friend with 2.1 that got selected on first attempt for FGM and I have a colleague too first class that got selected for UK.

Just any class of degree can get it.

May be is you that lacked idea on the selection process for PTDF scholarship sir. I could PTDF briefed us on their selection process during our induction last three years. Those variables that are being discussed here are the factors one needs to worry about, because if you can cross them you don't have problem, God willing. The other factors are not somethings of worry.
And even the invitation mails that were sent to the applicants stated it clearly that selection is based purely on one performance in interview. Why wouldn't people worry about their interview performance? All other things are just formalities if you get your interview very well.

They have stakeholders list which is entirely different from merit list.
