[ I had similar issues with you.
I captured on the 4th May with collection date supposed to be on the 8th June. I waited for 3 weeks, I went to Alausa again and they told me that my port is not ready. I needed urgently to apply for I-20 form. Someone gave me one officers number. I called him and he said since i started with DIY that it would be difficult to get to the file. I paid 25k and he arranged new files with photocopies of my documents. I got the port with 2 days after. It is very serious issuesquote author=chibjohn post=113569453]

My port processing experience at NIS HQ Sauka, Abuja was better than i expected but not good enough though!

So i paid for the port online using my bank card in the month of April but to book appointment for vetting and capturing the earliest date i could find was Friday June 3rd, which i selected and then printed everything required.

Upon getting to the port processing facility few minutes to the time written on my appointment slip i was approached by gentle officers who helped me to arrange the documents, but they now told me that they could help in fast tracking the whole process which i gently declined and told them not to bother as im not in a hurry, they now directed me to the open hall with different officers manning their workstations, i went straight to the counters and approached one of the officers who then asked me of all needed documents which i brought out, the officer then gave me two forms to fill which i did and submitted everything to her as she placed them in a file and confirmed my names again, She then told me to sit and wait, She later called my attention and informed that my file has been submitted she then told me to be attentive as they call names!

So the waiting game began, those who sorted where called faster and attended to!
After about 4 hours i was called for capturing and a note was given to me with numbers and six weeks written on it, some hours later i checked on the https://track.immigration.gov.ng and everything looks good, Now waiting for production.
From my interaction with others, those who had issues where mostly from NIN wahala, just make sure your NIN detail tally with what you filled or else they go open bank for your head, i met someone who claimed to have spent over 500k because of NIN issues and time desperation.

How long will the port take to be out at this last stage on the verification portal?

You don't know what's going on there. They are determined not to touch DIY files. Let me tell you my story. I captured it on March 10. The collection date was supposed to be April 14. I went there on April 14, no show. Waited till May(can't the date I went) is still the same. My deadline for submission of my documents to my school was June 1. I became desperate. I had to pay them, alas, the issuance dated was May 30. I initially thought the man was trying to play me, that my booklet was ready but he wanted to collect money, I went there a week before my deadline, still the same story. That was when I decided to pay. Do DIY only if you are not in a hurry. They are busy producing for only those who pay. They have formed a cabal and they don't care what the government says. My one pence

That is not true. I had earlier gone to the PCO and explained my situation, and I was told it would go through the process. The PA to the PCO, one Mr. Awe or so told me that nobody can access my file where it is because it is do DIY (self process as they call it). I called one Immigration officer in Abuja to help me talk to them in Alausa because my application deadline has approached, yet no help came.

It was @Bukhety that gave me the man's number who helped me. It took him 2 days. He duplicated my files, and they could produce. Date of issue was 24th May, and I collected it on 25th May. Supposed collection date was supposed to be 8th June.

I read this thread before applying for my port and saw all the wahala of applying online/DIY. I got an officers number at ikoyi from a friend and paid. Uncle did everything for me, I sent him my details via WhatsApp. I even got vip treatment as I didn't spend up to 15mins there when I went for capturing. Got my port in 4 days. Went back on the 4th day and got my port directly from him. Meanwhile they were using megaphone to be calling others on that long queue.
Pay an officer that has been recommended to you and get your port easily. No go stress yourself.

All of you have turned this thread to something else… agents looking for money up and down.. you have gotten your port why are you still here making noise and promoting these despicable acts?

To what purpose?
Nigeria is bad. Nigeria is bad.
As if it is not this useless attitude tht has caused this people to do this.
If everyone stands by due process, it will stop.
As long as some disdained elements keep promoting rubbish, it will not die.
Pls miss me with your foolish excuses.
You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Rubbish. Even when you go abroad you will still go with your despicable behaviour.
Leave the thread as you have gotten your vip treatments and quick ports.
Why are some of you still here chasing dms and all.. and then going onto defend corruption as if it is not enough.
Just @ me first and you will collect this morning!

I just ed and paid 26K for renewal online. My appointment day for capturing is still this month. My friend said that I shouldn't have paid online that an officer would've helped me out. When he called the officer, he heard that I have paid online, he just cut the call. grin
Wahala for person wey do DIY. grin

I don't intend to pay any more dime to any moudafucker.

Besides these documents listed here for me to bring on my date of appointment, do I require anything else for the renewal?
1. Application letter
2. port Booklet
3. Photocopy of Data page of port
4. Evidence of payment

You have no idea what people go through on DIY. Because if you do. You will understand people are been extorted and there is nothing anyone can do.
I have visited the ikoyi office almost 4 times to view if my port is ready.

Each visit I spend over 5k on cost and feeding.
Add that to NiN and network issue come tomorrow before I finally capture. Add that to the hot sun and stress.

each visit I took my day off from work.

If I knew this was the stress I will through , I would have paid express long time ago and get my port out.
