Let's stop discussion on POF please !

For a while, we've had people complaining about how to pay for their ihs, visa, school fee with their cards, even after showing them how to use barter some people still cannot circumvent their way around it, and honestly speaking its not their fault. Some people have got phobias for techie platforms and others are just being careful.

Since we've got exchangers on this platform, why not allow the exchangers to assist these set of people. This could solve the issue of payment instantly.

The Mods have to these set of exchangers and put their on front page, details of the exchanger must be collected such as a video that will be with the Mods personally, international port, address and any other form of verification, also the Mods can stand as escrow if the volume of the transaction is rather much. Also Mods must be paid a token by both parties involved in the transaction. Also Mods can designate a fervent/or some fervent followers and contributors of the thread to be an alternative escrow incase Mods aren't available.

The Mods do something similar to this in the business section.

I don't know if it makes sense, I just thought of it today. so it is left for the Mods to either accept it or not. they have the final say.

Before you bring up that guy that got refused. His story isn't clear to start with because why isn't he sharing his refusal mail? He is only sharing the NSF he got. People won't tell you why they get refused and I think the guy is hiding something!!

I think the guy didn't keep the funds for 28 days and he got an NSF to provide a new statement of but he couldn't because he had removed the funds from his . He needs to come and put things straight because his misinformation is making people cancel application.

I did my biometrics on March 31st, did POF from the first day in March, the money was there till the 27th of May that I got refusal mail. I left the money since it is safer to leave in the till you get your visa. It wasn’t until a NSF mail was sent asking to send bank statement of where the money stayed in the for 28 days that I realized there was a problem. I checked the forms generated after submission and discovered the date recorded as application date was the day I made payment.
So what exactly is your problem? You think it is everyone that has time to lie on here?

I think the issue about POFs has gone on for way too long.

Please can everyone endeavour to ensure all necessary documents are ready including your 28days POFs before any application is being made. I think this mistake can be avoided if the visa application process is taken one step at a time and not rushed especially when you are applying for the first time and learning the process

It will prevent the unnecessary confusion about date of application or biometrics.

Date of application is important if you want to note the Oanda exchange rate for your application.

You also posted same in the other thread and they have advised to seek legal guidance on this.

Again, explaining a misrepresentation is hard, for now the record on the system is that you are married to your ex girlfriend.

Perhaps a lawyer can advice on a legal (court signed document) to help with this,please not affidavit,it doesn't hold water

God bless you sir/Ma for this, I started panicking when I saw the information earlier. The VAC will only transfer your application to DMC after you’ve done it biometric and which the DMC will receive the application the next day and that is when they start working on your application. They haven’t started working on ur application after you paid visa that is why they allowed the option to cancel. It’s clearly stated there that after Biometric is done, you can’t get a refund. But you can get a refund before biometric. Pls let’s stop putting up false/unverified informations on here. Even after you have submitted your information for self , you can still cancel cos they haven’t gotten the biometric from VAC. PERIODT!

He is using those POF plugs and when they send funds to you, they put a lien or PND on it.

It would show as uncleared balance on your app but when you print out your bank statement it would show as the total balance.

The date of your visa application is the date you paid for your visa, which is also the same day you make ihs. This date is important because it is the date the visa officer would take into consideration when checking oanda rates.

For clarity, if you submit your application on the 2nd of july, the exchange rates on the 2nd of july is what they use to calculate the required funds.

When you make payment, you will also generate a pdf document of your application, and on that document, it is boldly written “ Date of visa application” i have attached a copy for your perusal .


Now, after you go for your biometrics, that day is referred to as when the waiting period starts. It is the date you start counting how long your application process is taking. The date of your biometrics is not the date of your application.

I don’t think it’s miscalculation of oanda rate.

I think what happened is, the Evaluating officer checked the application date and saw that it didn’t go far back as 28 days on the statement of .

For example. POF from Jan 1 to Jan 29/30 is 28days. However, If you paid for visa on Jan 25, the EO might expect that your statement should read at least 28 days backwards from Jan 24/25. (Since he/she would be using the oanda rate of the date of application to score your visa request.) They expect all applications to be made after your POF maturity, not before.

I think that’s why you have a 31 day grace period after printing your statement of .

Whats with the lien thing i am seeing here , and even if such thing should be happening, is it supposed to be on a platform like this? Its public, and not a chat room that you have to he a member before you see certain thing.
Also alot of us think once you travel out , money will start pumping. By the grace of God it will, but come one lets be realistic it doesn’t work that way. I saw someone going for medicine that cost almost 18000 pounds for school fees .collecting a lien for proof of funds. Now first year is usually cheaper but how would you settle yourself for the second year?? You are playing yourself now for the first year , apparently because no one would detect yet, but what happens when you cannot pay the school fees for the second year, this is when you see universities withdrawing their license and driving students home. Please lets take it easy and think before we make a move.
Also i also think if you are ever going to do the borrowing of funds thing, you should he ready to let it stay in your for more then 60days. Come on you are only going to pay for the interest. They need to be some sort of sacrifice at least! It won’t k!ll you. Ans if you are not ready to make sacrifices yet , stay naija jeje.
I understand that all fingers are not equal, that is exactly why we should cut our clothes according to our clothes! And if the dream is to study abroad, i think you should look for a low tuition school probably outside london, and go for a modest course that you would be able to fund. I am surprised that alot of us are looking for schools in london , and are still looking for one that would give you cas with 1000 pounds deposit. So what will happen when you get there

IOM rescheduled my TBTest date from 8th of june to 6th of June. I got 2 mails with 2 different address for the test. Who have experienced this before? Could it be a system glitch? Kinda confused.

So guys take note, it is wrong to pay for your visa n IHS fees b4 your POF matures.

The truth is, I didn't know this previously.

But why would someone start visa application when POF hasn't matured?
