zeenaman:No specific amount. If you wait to have a particular amount, you may end up buying cement at 7k per bag. The secret of building in this part of the World is tying down building materials with even the little money you have. What you can achieve with N5M now might cost you N10m in 2023 if you wait 15 Likes 1 Share |

Winters23:This is quite funny So anyone not making billions shouldn't build a house? 90% of house owners built their houses gradually, same apply to me. Even abroad it is mortgage. U don't wait till u have all the money in the world to start building. 23 Likes 2 Shares |

It depends on the kind of building though. People that started with 300k knows the kind of house they want. There are some houses you can't start without first having like 10 million naira while there are some you cant start without first having the full amount of money. So it depends. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Well it depends. For me when I wanted to start building in an adron estate last year, I was told I had to get it to lintel in 6 months else I'll have to be paying monthly payments so had to get millions in before starting but still sha. Once you have a land and a steady source of income then you should start because that's what will motivate you to keep pushing. If you don't start you won't push yourself and plan financially

Here"s my story I already saved up the amount required to buy house . Some how there was always something about the houses I saw . They didn't meet my requirements . So I bought a parcel of land and it took me 3 months to complete and in the 4th month I moved in . Now the downside to it was that I could not afford parcel of land in my first choice of environment I would have love to stay However am happy with what I got and grateful to God . Back to the question .. I had more than I needed to complete the project.
