wats the issue with noise

It has this shhhshshshsh noise whenever you try to turn the gain up. The noise also gets into recordings.

all knob (dials) should b @ 12 o'clock.
on the pad button if it as one
change the mic cord
try another mic

I've tried that severally.
It makes the noise even without a mic or insrument connected
