No,you won't be able to initiate renewal until it's around 3 months to it's expiry

Hi guys,
How do I apply for a renewal of my port because mine is expired.
And from the info I got it takes up to 3months for it to be ready.
Don't know if anyone has experienced that recently.

For as long as that port is issued y the Nigeria immigration and the port is still with you,renewal is what you will opt for,it will reduce your documentation.but you must go to the immigration office with that old port

We're you given an enrollment slip? if yes check the tail end of that slip,that is where you collection date is printed.

I need help pls..... My port got lost almost 3 years ago and it has aswell expired almost 5 yrs because it got expired even before I lost it. I have spoken to immigration officers, I was asked to go to Abuja cos its now "lost case"

And I would want to know if there is any easier way out cos I live in Lome, Togo.

simply apply for a renewal cos it's probably expired and the greedy officials might want you to exploit you if you report as a lost case

If I go for a renewal, wont be asked of the old one? Though I have the photocopy.

I went for my biometrics earlier this months with a port pickup date of 21st March but I’m still yet to get any email or text from the port office.

For renewal, you can submit 6 months before expiration date.

I went back today to continue and I typed my reference number but it brought error message PAYMENT FOR THIS APPLICATION INITIATED APPLICATION CANNOT BE EDITED

I don't want a situation where I will have to schedule a further date again since May 3 is still available now. What do you guys think?

Good evening,my.middle name in my port is 'temi' but in my nin its temitope. I want to renew and I heard all names must tally. Most of my documents have temitope. What's the way forward, do I change my nin to temi? If yes, do I have to change all my other documents to temi also or I can use one and same person for future reference. Thinks in advance.

Is guarantors form compulsory?

So I finally made payment today which was easy and quick. My appointment has also been booked for Tuesday next week, I even had the option of choosing from this week Friday but I opted for Tuesday to give me more time to prepare the documents required.

I guess the appointment date wasn't far because of the centre I chose which is Abakaliki.

I have also started disturbing NIMC to enable validation of my NIN as I discovered that of recent banks are finding it difficult validating it.

Before I forget, try going to bank to ascertain that your NIN is verifiable so that you don't run into hitches when you go for capturing. The last system incident messed up NIMC database.

What is wrong in going with Temitope? why do you have to go through the rigour of swearing affidavit and newspaper notification when you can easily go with what you have on your NIN,
