Hello NLS, I was captured on the 1st of March 2022 at Alausa port Office, and on a print out I was given, It said Collection date will be on the 10 of March 2022. Is there a guarantee that I will get it exactly on the said date or what do I do? do I wait till im ed? or do I go on the said date and see if its ready? Note : Its not DIY. Thank you .

You should go on the collection day, was it through an agent? How much did you pay please?

on the 3rd of march went for capturing

Got my port in exactly six weeks as they said! (DIY 32/5 ALAUSA).

Applied sometime in December.
Booked an appointment for Jan 17th, went for capturing that day.
issued Jan 28
Got an SMS on Feb 28.

I had my guarantor's form signed by a public notary (there's one in Unilag). Proceeded to the port office with all the required documents ( as has been repeated many times here). The capturing did take a while and I almost didn't do it that day, eventually, I got captured ( got there some minutes past 8 or 9) and left around past 4!

I got a text twice that my port was ready and that concluded my application. If you need your port and it's not too urgent, then I'll advise you to DIY. Whatever your situation, I can assure you it has been addressed here abundantly.

Yes , even a newborn requires NIN. Price is the same 25k. If you are in lagos

The name on my NIN is "Ajayi Daniel Yinka" but I'd like the name on my international port to be "Ajayi Olayinka Daniel" so it can be consistent with my other documents (especially my academic docs).

Though I was at the NIMC office today at Alausa and I was told that it'd take about 3-4 weeks to effect the correction.

Is it important that i rearrange my name on the NIN slip before going to apply for my int'l port? Or can i just go on to apply for my int'l port and later rearrange my name on the NIN slip?

What you have on your NIN is what you get. if you want something different, you'll need to do a name modification on your NIN profile before applying for your port. If the names on your NIN don't match that on your port application, there's a 99.99% chance your application will be rejected.
You'll need an affidavit and your remitta receipt

Well yes if he wants to avoid the stress of the NIN thing, and it's very stressful, but like he stated, he wants a name different from what's on the NIN on the port. There's no two ways about it, he needs to do a modification.

From experience anything that has to do with Identity modification you'll need an affidavit and maybe Age Declaration in your case.

Other inputs are welcome.

I paid 45k to an officer but I followed the normal procedures he only helped me with in filling the guarantor form before capturing aside that no special treatment on my form collection date was on the 7th of March and I went there today to collect it
