I think this is a more humane punishment even though it doesn't serve to deter him in the future. I don't jungle justice, but I can understand why people take the law unto their own hands. When institutions of justice like the police and the courts are corrupt, you cannot blame the people for getting justice for themselves. We live in a dog-eat-dog country where the prevailing hardship and suffering has caused the people to lose their sense of civility and humanity. 14 Likes |
