Anyway, i am not here to bash your hero. I am here to tell you that by 2013, fuel was selling above the official price incuding over 200 naira in some places because the subsidy costs could no longer cover losses resulting from selling fuel below the actual cost price.

The same thing is happening now.

The fuel scarcity was so bad that it was not even available. People were willing to buy at any price. For the records I bought it at the rate of 1k per litre in Portharcourt.
