Wondering, if a pharmacist can apply for a care assistant job, does that give relevant healthcare experience ? Everyone knows how difficult it is to get a qualifying certificate for a Nigerian trained pharmacist to work in the UK. So I'm wondering if one could travel as a care assistant, then begin the process of qualifying to work in the UK ?

Coming into the country is not the problem it's how you come. Suppose your wife comes in as a carer, you will have to Pay for visa fees. Then she would have to do those things she's running away from when she gets to the UK to later work as a nurse. Then she has to pay for the whole family again to change visa status.

Coming in as a carer is not worth it when you can come in as a professional. Of course she will be working as a senior carer when before she es her OSCE, but at least she doesn't have to worry about IELTS or what have you. She transitions straight to a RN when she es her OSCE.

I personally won't recommend coming in as a carer. CBT is easy to and she can take IELTS or OET. If she can nursing council exam to become a nurse, then she has what it takes to be a UK ed nurse. She just has to believe in herself. her through her nursing journey not carer journey.

Working as a carer, workers, under SOC code 6145 in the uk, the company sponsoring you will give you an in house training for 4 days and also some practicals before you start work. So why all these level 3 care certificate and so on?
You can enter uk today with authorization to work and start care job with the next 2 weeks.

Level 3 - makes you qualify for senior carer which is more money than HCA..from February 15th Companies would be able to sponsor carer assistants from out of the country, having level 3 makes one stand out more as it is envisaged that there might be a lot of competition for these roles. If one is already in country, I believe it might be easier to get sponsorship compared to out of the country.

I paid 350k with london professional training centre. There are others though, Kope medics -550k abi 600k, there’s one other one that’s called ASQ I think their own is around 400k.

3 months classroom teaching(Fridays or Satudays) then you have to do a clinical placement for 150hrs-200hrs. Depending on how carry out your clinical placement working hrs, it could be within 4-6months duration.

yeah you will have to choose one or both , and it depends on if you are able to acquire the transcripts of results and medium of communication letters for both study periods....best wishes
