Good Evening Everyone,
Please I will like to ask if there is any HSC online course that is below 12months.
Also is it advisable that my husband should be the principal applicant?.... Is the adult care job favourable to women or men?
I just want to increase our chances in getting it right.
Thank you

Visa Alert!!!
Hehehe I've longed to type this since I discovered Nairaland in September 2020 when my husband was waiting for his second canadian visa application which he got a refusal. I was a strong follower of the Canada students thread.
I am from Kenya and I told myself wherever Nigerians are going we will go. That's how we started our journey for UK Student visa which never went far as we didn't have the amount required in bank statement.
My second option was to apply for Skilled visa which actually should have been my 1st option.
I did blind application to companies that were offering sponsorship and I got an offer and a CoS.
Timeline.
Visa Application 12/1/2022
Biometrics 14/1/2022
Tls email 26/1/2022
DHL collection 27/1/2022.
All info was gotten from this thread and less from UKVO.gov website. Truly go through the pages, you won't miss any details.
Thank you Nigerians, we did it!!!
And to the famous quote which I couldn't wait to write
"What God cannot do doesn't exist!"
Congratulations! First Visa alert here
Please what role did you apply for and what was the entire hiring process like?

WOW! Another visa alert! Congratulations to you, Dee2016. As suggested earlier by others, kindly include your profession, as well as the visa type (ie. SW visa or HACW visa) and which NHS employer (eg. NHS Western Isles, NELFT NHS) on the timeline you shared. Cheers!

Hi everyone,
What happens if you already got a job and a CoS without an NVQ 3 certification, just some background working in a care home.
Does the issue of the certification come up with the Visa application?
Urgent response please...
Thanks
|
tolajay: 9:55am On Jan 28, 2022 |
NO!
Your employer is confident of your skill set that's why they've issued you the CoS.
You can proceed to visa application. They won't request any other documents accept the ones your employeer requested.

Hi
What about the whole Ecctis thing for PhD holders, it's confusing... Am not a PhD holder, do I really need to do that?
|
tolajay: 12:14pm On Jan 28, 2022 |
LOL...Since you're not a PhD holder, then you need not worry about it.
As I explained, your CoS is your ground for a hitch-free visa request.
Your employee must have done especially background checks on you and your suitability for the role before issuing the CoS.

Hello, GiggsTk. Congratulations to you! Having a CoS doesn't always automatically guarantee one getting the SW visa or HACW visa - this is at the sole discretion of the UKVI. Stories have been heard of people who were denied visas at the last minute because of issues such as not possessing appropriate qualifications, amongst others. However, since visa applications are mostly treated based on individual circumstances, you can go ahead and give it a try - your case might be different. Cheers.

Thanks, bro, my case has to be different for good o.
I'll try to make all the necessary enquiries and do all that's necessary before making the visa application then.

One of the requirements for the visa application is proof of knowledge of English. You can do this with an IELTS result. Alternatively, if you have a bachelor's, master's or PhD degree that was taught in English language, you can have it evaluated by Ecctis (NARIC) and then use the statement issued to prove your knowledge of English. The steps and requirements for Ecctis evaluation are spelt out on their website. Cheers.

Pls how much does this cost?
amehrada:
You’ll need your degree cert, transcript and medium of instruction letter from your uni. with ecctis, pay the fees and the necessary docs for the service you want. They’ll evaluate and send the report in in some working days.
If you go on ecctis site, everything is clearly spelt out there.

Good evening house. Kudos on the great job you do.
I did my biometrics for a standard UK visitor visa in VI in early December but I'm yet to get the visa. Many who did theirs around the third and last week in December have gotten theirs. I have reached out to UKVI but all I was told is that it is awaiting a decision.
Please is there a way to check what's really causing the delay or has anyone got a sure way to TLS VI?
Thank you.
